How to reply when you get called out for not replying?

I make it a thing now that I am rarely the last to reply in a text conversation. One girl has called me out on it saying she wants the conversation to keep going or she is waiting for a reply but I never do. I counter teasing her that I'm always the one initiating so that makes it fare or why does she not text me first. Neither of us ever doubles up texting each other.

We go back and forth but just wondering how does anyone else reply to scenarios such as this?

Careful, could be a sh!t test. Are you fvcking this girl? I would say something to deflect "I like texting you too baby" or "glad you like texting me" but never answer as to why you don't respond more.

This one has been hard for me too with my current plate #1, I have to remind myself it's ok to not respond and it's ok to not respond when she says things like "I am beginning to think you don't like me anymore". Then the next day I just start a new convo.
