"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Straight to the point, I dorked up a golden opportunity to hook up with a girl I really like by telling her I really liked her and wanted to date. The next day she backed off when I tried to redeem myself. I know exactly where I screwed up and what I should have said. My question revolves around what to do now. We work together in a bar, and some shifts it is just her and I. I believe my move here is do nothing/say nothing and hope her interest develops again and she doesnt find a BF in the mean time. However, if anyone has any suggestions id like to hear them.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

The recovery rate for this sort of situation is very low. If it were me? Let it go immediately and don't try to cover your a$$ again. You messed up, it happens, move forward with other women.

The general rule is that you shouldn't push for plates in the workplace. However, working in a bar, I can see an exception here. When I bartended and waited tables, I slept with several coworkers and a few customers and never had anything come of it. In the corporate/professional world, that kind of thing WILL come back to haunt you, so best to avoid it.

Back to your mistake, just let it go, and for the love of God do NOT try to justify anything to her, ever. Let her come to you. If there is interest she'll make is brutally honest and it will happen naturally. If you keep talking to her about this, or make any covert efforts to cover your mistakes, she'll smell it and the second situation will be worse than the first. You may as well walk around with your c0ck tucked under because that's how she'll see you.

From this point on, she gets nothing more than a "hello" and any work-related conversation. That's it.

Also, use the search function up top. There are plenty of threads about this sort of thing.

I did this same exact thing not that long ago. Sucks soo much. Things were going great, hooked up a few times, and I got drunk at dinner and told the girl I really liked her after hooking up. She completely back off, started acting weird, etc. I did the only recovery I could - which was to back off myself. At some point of not talking for a few days she wrote me a long pity text letting me know she wasn't looking for anything serious. I responded that it was fine and I was pretty tipsy so I hope I didn't make it seem like I was trying to jump into something. We didn't talk to two weeks, I was pretty miserable about this rookie mistake that I made. Then she contacted me, we started talking again, hung out (she asked), the date went great, I did not get weird/serious on her at all - and she started acting distant again after. So who knows. Don't pick apart everything you do and say. When you really like someone, you hardly give a shyt what they say. Keep working on your looks and you financial success, the girls will keep coming.

I know, I'm lazy.
Just trying to make a joke. That was a nice picture though.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Let that one go.

However, be good with the other women who frequent that bar where she can see it, then befriend her, then ... boink her friends.
