"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I have a fear that I'm going to end up like MrConfidence, constantly making new resolutions and then making excuses.
I'm probably pretty much in the same boat as him, I'm a reasonable guy with hobbies not some sociopath, I'm quite quiet, I have friends at school but it seems like the friends I have are happy to hang out at school, but wouldn't invite me to hang out out of school and I seem to have read a lot but not done much to improve myself
As I said I do want to improve and not end up a bitter time waster like MrConfidence and I'm sure there are many in the same boat as me.
What is the most useful simple advice you would give to me or someone like MrConfidence.

btw, I am not some new username for MrConfidence, I've just been reading his threads and can relate to them

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Just don't make excuses, if you set a goal and don't reach it there is no excuse that will get you to the goal, you either do it or you don't. What exactly are you trying to improve?

ElStud, I didn't know that no, and you seem to be making some progress and actually doing something which is more than I am currently doing so I respect you for that, obviously you're not a "Don Juan" - whatever that means - yet, but I'd appreciate you're advice

also any advice from Wescott would be appreciated, and anyone else who has actually made a change from a similar situation

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

Way to handle that, Viper. He made his point with the thread title, but he used your name five times...

As for the OP, nobody can help you. You can watch all the Rockys in the world and listen to the Eye of the Tiger, you can read all the "you live once" threads, you can read Gunwitch's masculine thread or Pook's Be A Man thread. I could tell you that some fat ass has a hot girlfriend right now. At the end of the day, you have your own inner strength. You have to figure it how to on your own terms. Sorry.

Man, I made that huge Motherf"cking change, and from your description, you sound exactly like me. Friends at school, but not out? I can totally relate.

What I did, and what you must do, is relate as much pain to being like that as possible. Although it's easy to stay the same, what will you gain?

Do what you've always done, and get what you've always gotten

I hit the gym.....and it became my passion!! I'm a personal trainer now. I became buff, gained a modeling contract and got looks of admiration in the street. This coming from a guy who was voted "ugliest in the class" back when I was 14.

The best advice I can give you is to start with baby steps. Can't approach women in the street? Approach them when they're working in the stores! They're bored and they'll gladly talk to you.

For me, it was all about looking tp the future. For a small skinny guy, who was picked on, ignored by women and laughed at by the blokes......picturing me in the future, with a stunning, amazing women on my arm, whilst I was walking to my porsche, dressed in my bespoke suit.....THAT became my reason for improving. Is that picture worse than you in a 9-5 job, with an average body, and average women?

You invest small now, you get the big payoff in the future. Yes, playing computer games is more fun than going to the gym now....but in a couple years time, when you got women hanging off your "fantastic" arms.....it doesn't compare.

I'm sorry for rambling....if there's anything more specific, please, don't hesitate to ask.

Dude, the thread title alone makes this hilarious!

Everything Wescott said is true. You just gotta start off small and keep investing in yourself and you will notice a BIG change.

Also remember...No excuses. There should be no reason not to try your best all the time.

If I could have went back in time this is what I would do. Set goals, go to a local store some where, where chicks work at. like the grocery store start a little convo with them, stuff like how was your day? did you have a good weekend. stuff like that, if you do things like that, it will make you more confident I believe.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Wescott's got you pretty much covered. Just remember small steps and then you won't need excuses for failures. Keep your head in reality. If you fail something it is your fault. Don't throw the blame onto something else or someone else. You gotta learn to take responsibility for your mistakes.

Yeah, i need help on that too. I mean, I've got loads of friends at school i hang around with, and I'm pretty popular but I'm never invited to go to things? Dont get me wrong i go out and that with people from my estate but would be cool to go out with ma mates from school as well. Any tips/ideas?

Sorry for kinda robbing your thread btw =]

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Thing is you're falling into the trap I did. If you're not being invited out after school, you're not popular. Make new friends, or otherwise, invite THEM out.
