"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Recently I have been occasionally seeing a girl who is good-looking, but extremely shy and unworldly. While she is shy and hasn't done too much wild stuff, I am pretty much the opposite (in fact I think she is a bit attracted to that aspect).

Anyway,I had told her I was going to set up a big gathering, to which she is definately invited. On Tuesday (the planned day), however, I had to work, and nothing really materialized. Anyway, I had called her kinda late about it to tell her it was off, and she got very irritated. She claimed she was looking forward to it all day and had some friends she wanted to bring.

I explained to her that things happened that couldn't have been prevented, and I apologized to her about the whole thing (she seemed really dissapointed).

Anyway, she tried to tell me that I need to work on my time management skills, and when she said this, I lauged at it and shrugged it off.

I can tell she is still irritated about the whole thing, and I am not sure the best way to handle it. I told her we'd do something good together today or tomorrow, and she wasn't opposed to it.

Anyway, should I just ignore the incident and not bring it up again with her? And if she tries talking about it again, should I just act like it is no big deal or try to more seriously explain the situation?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

ok...what you did here was a great thing to build attraction. don't even sweat it. whatever you do dont try to explain the situation. if she brings it up just keep it simple. tell her that something else came up. don't go into details.

by her getting upset that you had to cancel the plans, that shows you that she's into you and whatever you are doing is working. keep it up!

she may be shy, however she knows how to handle herself.
she wasnt afraid to voice her concerns to you.
dude, she may have been irritated and was really looking forward to it, however she didnt seem to belittle you at all. all she said was you needed to work on some time management skills ( so something came up and you couldnt be 2 places at once is what im thinking)
she didnt cuss you out for standing her up, thank goodness.

most chicks try to do that and act hateful when things are not going their way.

and she still didnt loose any interest in you for any of this.

i think this one is a keeper !

just my two cents.

don't even worry about or bring it up again, because I seriously do not see what the big deal was. people have to change plans all the time. you called her and let her know, its not like you cancelled on purpose because you knew it would ruin her day. it was a big conspiracy!

She was p*ssed cuz she was looking forward to going (seeing you)

She's still acting p*ssed because it's her way of getting attention

Just forget about it, don't need apologize for anything (although you already have). It's now very obvious she likes you, the balls in your court now

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
