How to handle rude waiters/waitresses when on a date?

I was on a date with a chic at a restaurant Sunday our waiter was being sort of pushy like he was trying to rush us to finish our meal. I didn't want to seem mean in front of her.

You tell them to chill out and you will let him know when you are ready.

I can be a jerk at times, but never to wait staff. Once, when I took a client in a restaurant, the client's wife was being drunk and irate and started a scene with the waiter. I calmly pulled the waiter to the side, told him that she had a bit too much to drink and slipped him a 20 and told him I'd take care of him after we got out of there. I told her that I talked to him and set him straight. He came back and apologized to her, got her what she wanted and my client was happy because his wife is a huge bish and he is a mangina.

Waiters are idiots if they think they can be rude, I pay them simple as that.

I will say this, my state is known for having excellent wait service. So this hasn't been an issue except that one time when our waiter was gay.....

That's another story tho
