Walking into the room you spy three set of hotties. Just your type. You’re looking good, good posture; you’re ready to go getta ho. Perfect! But, wait. Why aren’t you approaching? Come on. You are a PUA. You know the skills. Come on! Geesh. Whah? You say you aren’t in the mood? Not in the mindset…..

We all had that experience. Not in the proper mindset. Getting into the proper mindset is crucial when gaming. When I have it I am on fire, when I don't I am extinguished. First, I would like to share a few techniques that help us get pumped up before finding someone to pump. Then, I would like to invite you to recommend any other techniques not mentioned here. Finally, it would be useful to know which techniques work the best (for you).

1) Using Anchors to attach distinct mindsets somewhere on the body ready to be used when needed. The anchors have to be distinct. One technique I observed a NY PUA using was wrapping a rubber band around his wrist. Each time when he was at the peak of the mindset that he wanted to “save” he would snap the rubber band against his wrist. Then it was just a matter of snapping the rubber band against his wrist to evoke it.

Another NLP technique that I found very useful is using the natural anchors already existing between your mind and body. Get into the correct body position! The body and mind are connected. That is, when you feel down/sad, your body assumes the down/sad position. Even when you are happy, if you slouch your shoulders, look down, and form your body to what it would be if you were sad, your state couldn’t help but change from happy to sad. The reverse, of course, is true. If you remember a time when you were confident or on fire, remember your posture and then emulate it. I have found this immensely useful.

2) Calling up friends and bull****ting while heading to the gaming venue. ****, your friends are your friends cause they get you in a good mood. Use it. Call them, shoot the **** a bit, and then call another. You will be feeling pumped up and sociable in no time.

3) Blast bouncy, upbeat music when heading to the venue. Have you guys heard of “Sargin” by Turkish? Link here: http://www.myspace.com/turkishdjdave. Good music to get you pumped up… whatever suites you.. hip hop, rock, techno, house… create a CD tailored just for this.

4) Surrounding yourself with high-energy guys that ooze positive energy. The mood of the group has a huge impact. Get some seasoned PUAs together and the group just oozes cool-ness. And when you have that vibe going, girls just gravitate toward your group. The opposite is also true. It is tough when you have a couple of guys just standing and observing. Pick your wingman wisely.

5) Self re-affirmations. I am sexy. I am unstoppable. I am the biggest, baddest pua with the ****ing mostest, etc. … When I know I can **** any girl in the room, I can. Beliefs are a powerful thing.

6) Look good. Make sure clothes are ironed and stylish. Join a gym. You would be amazed how better you sleep at night, how more alive you feel, and how much longer you can pound the ho giving her a feeling of pua heaven. Mrapta had mentioned the following technique he uses when going to the gym:

“Before each gym session, I sit down, close my eyes and picture myself as a yellowing greasy sponge, filled with Anxiety, Fear, Shyness and Inaction. As I work out, I picture the Sponge releasing those attributes and absorbing Confidence and Humour. At the end of the session while I'm in a shower, I picture myself as a brand new lean white sponge filled with Confidence and nothing else.
Not only that, a fair amount of physical movement is VERY important to keep my energy levels up. At least I dont fall asleep while commuting anymore”


Evoking the proper mindset is key to unlock the hearts of HBs. The above techniques help you get it. Now if you can recommend any other techniques have at it! Also, are any of these techniques more useful to you than others? It would be great to know which ones are most effective.

Thanks again. Having the correct, confident mindset is crucial! That is why inner game is so important for when you have confidence, contentment, health, a life, it helps you get the mindset you need. Having all that also is communicated at a subconcious level to her subconcious, giving her that "good feeling" about you.

Hey Mojo, good thread dude.

I find that my confidence (and hence how often I am in 'the zone') yoyos a fair bit. Its strange. One day, I'll be confident and social and friendly and just all around awesome. The next, I'll be lonely and dejected and stuff. Most people don't notice, since i dont make a point of ******dly showing how I am feeling. But people close to me do notice.

I'm exactly the same lebrambo. One day I can be totally in the zone and talk to anyone and feel I could pick up any chick I want. Then the next it's just not happening. Need to work on being confident all the time. Any tips?

some things i would add.

eat well, drink a heap of water, excercise and sleep well. this is the foundation. you will find that when you are doing this you will feel great, you will look great and thus you will feel the mojo.

i listen to some really upbeat tunes before i hit the streets.

spend a second visualising the perfect outcome of the night with enough clarity that you get the same emotional response as if you really are experiencing it, if you find your energy flagging.

I have no doubt this HELPS. But it isn't always ENOUGH. Just for the purposes of information (ie not to brag), I would bet that I'm in better shape and more physically active than at least (prob more) 90% of guys on here. (I do 90mins pumping cardio daily and my lifts at the gym are stronger than most peoples, easy.) This DOES help me to feel good, but it isn't any magic pill. You need to do something more "direct" to really change your mindset into something more "productive" (regarding chicks). Maybe if you've already got everything else, then phsyical activity (and good body) are the last keys to the puzzle for you. But if you lack in other areas (like I do), being fit and looking good by themselves prob won't do as much as you might think.

Also, if you ARE looking good, dressed well, hair styled "just right", go look in the mirror wherever you are at (if they have one there). It helps to remind you that, "shyt yeah man, looking damn fkking good" and gets u feeling good about yourself.

I've got a pretty good one, at least for me (that I recently discovered). I'm not really sure I should share it though, because it involves some "unhealthy" and "unwholesome" kind of advice, and I really don't want to get into some huge debate about the virtues of it.

Well, stuff it, I'll say it. Marijuana.

Here's why.

We have probably all heard of the power of visualization, right? But it's easier said than done. You might have heard it works best under hypnosis, or self-hypnosis, and that's probably true. But who's gonna shell out for a hypnotist, and are u really gonna be comfortable telling him or, usually, her exactly why u are doing it? Probably not. And self-hypnosis is just damn difficult to do. I've gotten myself into some pretty deep hypnotic trances on a couple of occasions -- and it's an awesome feeling -- but I can't do it "on call". They were flukes, basically. And I have tried dozens and dozens of times. It's just too easy to get distracted.

Here's where the weed can help. When u smoke, IF you concentrate on something, you can REALLY get deep into it. It's basically a similar form of concentrated mindset that hypnosis provides (ONCE you're in the hypno state; before getting into it is when the distractions destroy your efforts). SO, u get high, and FOCUS YOUR MIND on BEING the kind of dj u wanna be. You can focus on anything u want, VISUALIZE anything u want. Because of the weed, your mind will focus DEEPLY on what u are concentrating on/visualizing. You really can come to a whole new understanding of yourself. It can be quite profound. Notice i said CAN be, not WILL be. If u smoke aimlessly, with a pack of career smoker losers, u will REGRESS, not PROGRESS. So if you're gonna do this, do it with the sole intent of BETTERING yourself, not just for the "buzz" it gives u or to laugh at inane, stupid, pointless things. Use it as a tool.

Now, I should probably say, that this would best apply to people who ALREADY smoke. I really don't want to advise people to START, because it's SO EASY to let it take over your life. Myself, I hadn't smoked for YEARS until a couple of nights ago. But I have experience, and I KNOW I can control it. There's not a chance I would let it fkk up my life. To a newbie though, that risk is all too real and, probably, simply too high. If a newb is considering trying this advice, please make sure you exhaust all other means of changing yourself first, and only if you're at your wits end should u try something like this.

Btw, this is not "artificial". The visualizations you do while stoned help u out in REAL LIFE. You WILL become more like the person u were visualizing. It's just like standard visualization, but a deeper, more profound and, probably, more effective version of it. You won't necessarily NOTICE any changes about yourself, not while u are actually undergoing them, but one day, if u look back, u will prob say, SHYT, I can't BELIEVE how much I've changed.

Those who have read my journal will know that I was pretty much starting from scratch, from being a social recluse. I have made some progress in the last couple of weeks, which I am very proud of and happy about. But it's really not very much at all. Smoking the other night, I actually did what I advised in this post. (Actually I have done it for two nights in a row now.) ALREADY i can feel BIG changes in my attitude and outlook -- in my mindset. BIG changes. I am helped by knowing, quite clearly, what to focus on/how I want to be, so the changes in mindset have come pretty quickly for me. I'll continue this over the next couple of weeks, and I'll report on the results.

I should also note that I am NOT actually basing my advice on the limited experience of a couple nights. Back when I FIRST started smoking weed, around 18, I was pretty socially awkward. Very, very green. But through hanging out with some very cool people and pretty accomplished players, I began to pick up some ideas and influences. And when I started smoking, I would toss these ideas around in my mind. At some point, I tuned out from what everyone else was BSing about when we'd smoke, and focus on visualizing, on seeing myself as I wanted myself to be. It was a really pleasant and inspiring feeling. Intensely inspiring at times. That year, I made HUGE changes in my social life. I actually became very close to the kind of person I visualized.

At the time, and for years afterwards, I never made the connection between my weed-enhanced visualizations sessions and the undeniable social transformation I went through. But why not? Why wouldn't there be a link? If visualization is as powerful as claimed, then yes, DEFINITELY there would be a link.

Again, I def don't plan to smoke forever. I am VERY clear about what I am doing here and why I am doing it. It's a tool to me and nothing more. Weed really is not compatible with a healthy, active lifestyle, imo. So just on that alone I cannot afford to do this for too long. But a couple of weeks is no big deal. Just based on the last couple of nights, I have found no lack of energy or motivation throughout the day or in getting through my workouts. Not at all. In fact, I have had some super workouts the last couple of days, and those were both on just 5 hours of sleep per night (the weed keeps me up). So far, no complaints whatsoever.

Some good stuff in there mojo.

I find going to the gym a great tool, doesn't half put you in a great mood before going out getting those endorphins in your system. Makes you look better too, and i don't just mean the keeping on top of your weight, you actually look a lot healthier. It was proven that just going to the gym regularly as the same effect on depressed people as taking anti depressents.

The think and grow rich statement is also pretty usefull in sargeing. Remember to be specific though and set a time scale. i.e. I am going to get x many numbers before 2:30am tonight for example. The books on the internet, do a search, although i would reccomend buying it.

eft/tft is also pretty good
