"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

you don't have to dress in american eagle button downs and abercrombie jeans or khakis everyday to impress girls. to impress girls you just got to look like you care how you look and not wear a black band t-shirt and shorts everyday. i don't have one casual button down and girls love the way i dress. i usually wear some kind of bootcut levi jeans with maybe a slightly form fitting zip-up hoodie or a plan long sleeve shirt. just t-shirts are fine too as long as it fits with the rest of your outfit.

if you wanna dress in pink and baby blue button down or polo with pre-ripped jeans everyday, that's fine, but you'll look like you're just buying into a trend. if you're fine with that, do it, it'll still impress chicks.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I have been known by friends/acquaintances to almost never wear a shirt without a collar. I've been complimented on my style a lot. Girls used to ask me for style tips...

I can't say it's really helped my dating life...if you don't have the skills to capitalize on it, it won't matter if 10 chicks say you dress great everyday.

#1) Nice shoes. Get a color that goes with your shirts, or your jeans, or your belt. Be different...for example, I don't care if Vans are popular, who cares. I think Vans are ugly as ****.
#2) Get clothes in a sizes that actually fits. This makes a big difference.
#3) A nice leather belt. And NICE jeans.
#4) Be different. Wear something that you don't see everyone else wearing. I don't dress outlandish...I'd say I'm pretty normal, but just different. My styles is a mix between thuggish/preppy. Sort of like Kanye West.
#5) Get clothes with a nice color that complements your complexion. I have dark hair, so navy blue and black goes well...I also wear darks/lights...for example, a black sports coat/blazer over a white T with dark jeans and white sneakers.

You don't have to spend a fortune either. Go to the store, try stuff on...figure out your size and then buy it on eBay. Check out thrift stores too, they rock.

Lastly, I think I also need to change up my style a bit. I'm not as "styled" as I used to be. I don't have all the accessories and junk that most guys have. I don't have a watch, or any wristbands. I don't have a hat. I don't style my hair. I don't have earrings. I do have a finger ring and a necklace. I also wear white Ts under my collared shirts. Someone else also mentioned "layering."

And I just have to add...dressing nice and getting compliments is not all it's cracked up to be. I think it hurt my confidence over time more than it helped. I became more dependent on getting compliments from girls to boost my self-esteem/ego that I found myself spending more time primping myself than most girls.

Also, when you "dress to impress" problems can arise. People will think you're too good for them, or that you're arrogant / full of yourself. Sure, you can get your way with looks, but when you walk into a room and draw stares people expect you to live up to a certain image when you open your mouth. At least that's the way I've felt about it. I stopped dressing really nice everywhere because I'd rather not be in the spotlight everywhere I go. Sometimes you just want to be able to blend into the crowd and go unnoticed. Just some thoughts that maybe you should consider...

Like how mpimpin said he gets compliments everyday...I did too, but at some point it gets distracting and bothersome to be honest.

Those are good tips. Beyond selecting clothes, learning how to care for them helps, too. Wrinkled designer clothes still don't look right until you iron them and pick off the lint if necessary. I keep a roll of the wide masking tape to take off lint. Roll it inside-out over your hand. This way is much cheaper than the lint-roller products.

I agree about the importance of good shoes. Keeping them clean is a must.

Also, when doing laundry, any sort of metal is hard on other fabrics. I wash jeans separately so the zippers don't tear up my shirts.

After 2 months spent in Kharkiv I now sport a murse, pointy elf shoes dress shoes, and dark striped jeans. I also decided to buy the stereotypical track suit. I was tired of sticking out like a sore thumb. I stick out now more than ever, but I after Christmas I get to free myself of this place and go back to my little corner of heaven.

I also got a really short haircut. I felt way too wimpy with the spiky hair. I just wet it in the morning now and leave it at that. Now all I need is a large scar on my face and the ensemble is complete.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Chicks dig black leather. Anything that says tough or bad-boy is good, anything that looks like your mother bought it for you is bad.

Dude, just pick up a magazine like GQ or something. They have tons of pictures of well-dressed guys with all the latest styles. And the best part is you don't have to buy those specific overpriced clothes; just go to a store and get something that looks the same but much cheaper.

Or just go to nice clothing stores and look at how they dress the manequins. Just keep checking out what are "officially" considered nice outfits, and over time you'll develop a sense of what looks good and what doesn't.

Here, this is me how I often dress. How old do I look btw?

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I'd guess you are between 35 and 45, people look so different depending on if they have good/"young" genes or not.

Since you are asking the question, I assume that you must be in your early 40s, expecting us to guess "late 30s" because you know you look younger... Please tell me if I got things right...

From my point of view, I'd say you look like you are around 40, maybe 38 39 or 41 42. But again, I'm Asian, Asians overall look younger compared to other races so my perception of things might be a little "skewed"...:D

Good logic, and I'll be 38 in a month.

PeterNorthIsAwesome, yes. I used to dress more flamboyantly (like Captain Jack Sparrow when I was 18), and I found that women always responded well. My current gf took a fancy to me and my clothing style before we met.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I'm a 15 yr old freshman in high school...yeah, i know, shut up... dress pants were never really my thing (especially to wear on a daily basis at this age, dunno about that..) the only things i really like are hot colors (red/orange/yellow) because it goes with my hair-- an excellent orangish/red, kind of long, get a lot of compliments. yeah, a ginger kid, haha funny. also, vertical stripes are always good. i honestly saw it flicking channels on queer eye for the straight guy that it adds height. flicking channels, honest.:) i bought some; whaddya know, i look taller. i get compliments for those shirts. nighthawk, lookin' snazzy.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
