Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I want to ask a girl to prom but I don't want to get flowers or any bull**** like that. I want to just ask her straight up like this: "Will you go to prom with me?". Does this work? Is there any better way to say it, like "Would you go to prom with me" or something like that? What do you think of this?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

1) Why are you going to the prom? Is it because YOU TRULY WANT TO GO TO THIS THING OR IS IT SOME KIND OF PREER PREESURE? I'd suggest not going at all. Spend that money towards something that will lasting value, like a car, a new game, or money towards school.

2) If you must go, why take a date? You said yourself that your not trying buy flowers, the tickets and all of that nonse, and your date is going to expect that from you. Besides, the only reason you want to take a date is that you hope your going to score after the prom.

My advice is skip the prom and go to happening "after the prom party."

no. i'm going because its my senior year and i dont want to ****ing miss it. got a problem with that? money is not an issue with me right now. i want to take a date because ive gone without a date and its not cool because EVERYONE has a date. im only paying for myself and if she thinks otherwise ill find someone else.

my question is what is the best way to ask a girl to prom? is asking her straight up a good idea or what?

Have you read the bible?

First you have to build attraction. After she's comforatable with you and has shown that she's attracted, you DO NOT say, "Will you go to the prom with me?"

Doing that makes it seem like she's doing you a favor. It's the same thing as when people say "Will you go out with me?" It shows neediness.

Whenever I "ask" a girl out, I do it in a way that makes it sound like SHE'S the lucky one (And she is). For example:

Me: Hey, guess what!
Her: What?
Me: I'm going to so and so place on Thursday, and I'm going to let you come hang out with me.

Same thing with prom. Don't ask her to go with you, tell her that you're letting her go with you.

Go get em!

no ****. i'm not ****ing stupid. obviously im not asking about how to get her attracted. im just asking how exactly would you ask her to prom. so you're saying i should say this:
me: hey guess what
her: what
me: your going to prom with me

that doesnt sound right. there has to be a better way to ask a girl to the prom.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

lol, did you even read my post, because:

me: hey guess what
her: what
me: your going to prom with me

Is nothing like what I said. Besides, to pull it off you need to come across as a naturally fun, confident guy. And no offense, but you don't seem like that kind of person.

Anyway, works for me, and that's how I got my prom date for junior prom this year, so whatever dude. Have fun standing next to the wall with the line of other guys who don't have dates.

Dont take things so literally. What he was saying is that you should make it seem like YOU are doing HER a favor by going with her.

Ask her if she's going to the prom, then invite her (dont ask, offer it like its something she'd be a fool to refuse) to go with you.

Remember: offer, dont ask

"Come to the prom with me *grin*!"

Or, if that's not you, you can just ask in the traditional way. Yeah, it WILL feel wierd if you don't already have some sort of connection going. There's still a decent chance she'll agree, after all, girls have the "I don't want to be the only one without a date" problem going too.

Relax! Life's a game.

This is ridiculous how people blow tiny problems way out of proportion. You have to realize that the bigger a deal that you make out of just ASKING the girl, the more awkward you make it when you do. You're being too self conscious. Just ask her in a manner that seems comfortable. If you don't do it that way, chances are that by the time you DO find the "perfect ask" (which you will never find, btw), you'll be so psyched that you probably won't even work up the guts to actually ask her and run by the excuse that you're looking for the "perfect situation/mood". I repeat, because you are making such a big deal out of this, you are already setting up the situation AGAINST your favor. You want to ask her? Imagine a scenario in your own head, imagine her accepting. Make your decision and EXECUTE. Don't bog yourself down with semantics.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Quit being a little ***** and just ask her. You shouldn't be worrying about such a little thing. If you're too worried about how she'll react, then you haven't done what is needed before hand. You need to build some rapport before you go up to a girl and ask her to prom. Show her you're a fun and chill guy and will make her night. Once you get signs of interest from her, then you pop the question. You can't just ask it without any ground work. This is basic stuff man.

So if you haven't laid the groundwork yet, get going. If you have, then just ask her...it doesn't matter how you ask it, she's not going to be overanalyzing it like you are. So grab your balls and go.

BTW...if you're so nervous about asking her, how the hell are you going to have a good time w/ her on prom night. You should be asking someone you feel comfortable with.

wow. You guys that all read the bible and have never used any of that canned advice are damn cool huh?

I would suggest you take advice from the people that HAVE experience. "bla bla you have to build attraction, and get her interested, i'm full of bible bs"

Last year I went up to one of the most popular girls in my class (it's not that big of a deal cuz i go to a small school) but we have done nothing more that chat in class. She didn't have a date, prom was cumin up real soon, I said "hey (hername) you, me, prom?" obviously expecting the 'yeah' that i got along with her blushing and w/e.

Anyway, it's not that complex. If you want to know what to say I would suggest a few things. If you KNOW she is attracted to you, "hey you're going to prom with me, right?" that's a good/rare one, works great. If it's more of a friendly thing, hey who are you going to prom with? When she says no one/doesn't kno yet/w/e well why don't you show up with me/same here, let's go together.

You want something casual and confident, yet not like a middle age pervert type. Just be confident the words don't really matter all that much anyway.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

guess how i got my date to the prom??

Me standing there talking to my friends about the prom, i was saying i wasnt going at all, this girl i know(HB9), came up to me
she:are you going to the prom?
No
She: why not?? it will be fun
no not really
she: well...i'll go with you(hahaha,so obvious she is not use to rejection)
hemm...let me think about it

And that, gentelmen, is how i got my date

try to attract her, maybe it will get to the stage where she is the one whos asking you instead of you asking her.
