interestingly enough, what I find is that people are in their own little bubble throughout the day, they look unapproachable ( man and women) . However, when you break the barrier, you find people are genuinely nice people, who don't mind being approached.

Honestly, just saying 'Hi" works for me, or notice something on her and comment on it. It isn't that difficult.
