Hi all,

One thing has come to my mind recently.

Every time when I leave the dance session, I always feel super hyper, super powerful like you know, you feel like you can handle anything in the world type of feeling. It's this kind of super hyper feeling that gives you the guts to talk to any girl etc, and when I'm in this state, my walk and actions naturally becomes very confident, vibrant without needing to fake anything, and I think girls and people in general notice it.

Problem is, 1 hour later, the feeling slowly wears off and I'm back to my usual slobby / slouchy / deadbeat self LOL.
Hunched-back, afraid to make eye contact etc....

Has anyone experienced this before? Like after you've finished doing some sport (rock climbing, zumba, marathon or even sky diving), you feel like you're god and all problems becomes **** to you.

How does one go about maintaining this sort of super positive state 24/7?

I think it's the adrenaline that's causing all these, well....
(not looking for drugs which produces adrenaline, though).


Secondly, are there any exercises / tips to get rid of the fear of making eye contact with people? I'm usually afraid (for some reason) to make eye contact with people.
Guys generally are ok, but young girls....well.....I just look away when I walk past them, that's how bad it is.
Currently, I'm training myself to look at them briefly for a start. Not sure if that helps though.

Would you rather filth piles on the inside or outside of your car window? One or the other it's going to be visible.

Keeping your inner state clean helps in ignoring the crap on the outside. It's less obvious and easier to get rid of.

I get what you're saying. That is why it is recommended to surround yourself with the things you love. Learning to hold and carry those states with you is the practice.

The PUA/life coach Hypnotica has some stuff on YouTube dealing with eye contact and being grounded. It's on a Neil Strauss boot camp type thing. It's very good for dealing with the issues you describe.

There are a couple techniques. I believe one (name I forget - it May be Mehow who describes it) is the five point focus technique. Basically it's purpose is training yourself to focus on an object while simultaneously focusing on five others. For example, looking at a post while looking at an object behind you, two around you, and one behind the object. This technique helps train your peripherals and awareness. Eventually you can carry this over into eye contact with women.

Focus on visualising yourself dancing whenever you feel yourself getting slouchy, deadbeat etc and make sure to internalise all the feelings you have associated with it. As long as you keep on dancing, your sub-concious will associate dancing with being confident, alpha etc. Practice this over a couple of times and you'll find yourself changing emotional states just by imagining yourself having fun dancing.

serious now you will have high and lows that is normal, but when you feel like slowing down act to do something to not let you go too low and feels good again, what will work depends on you, for me remembering a joke or a funny moment, making fun of a stupid moment or in one of my bad moments with sarcasm just think what can make you move more, even a walk can work you on that

The best thing I can think of when I'm feeling down at any time is "There isn't a day that has conquered thus far." But, like someone else said, there are going to be times when life will beat you down and you simply have to roll with the punches and do the best that you can. But when you get back up you will feel stronger then ever for having survived. Incorporate a lot of excersise to help with any feeling of doubt or stress, it helps a ton. Scientifically proven.
