How soon after you get a girls phone number do you text her?

Im talking about when you meet a random woman at like a store for instance and you strike up a conversation then ask for her number and she gives it to you. Is texting her on the same day too soon?

I used to wait a day but nowadays I sent the first text ASAP because I've never seen a woman who didn't respond to the first text that went on to respond to any other text.

Often the conversation fizzles out after a few responses, but the girls who were actually interested are okay with texting immediately.

Text her with your name. Then reply weeks or months apart. If she's fine, weeks apart, and if she's hella fine, text her months apart (exceptions are if you are replying to her).
