K1 is great. I'm training Ving Tsun, but I'm in the progress of relocating back to my Hometown and don't have the possibility to train Ving Tsun there anymore. But there's a K1 club I want to check out, too.

To answer your question, it depends on how fast you're able to learn and if you already have experience with MA. My trainer says if you're new and you want to become efficient, 2 times per week until you have internalized the basics and movements well and then it should be enough to train once per week. If you want to fight competitive, one time per week is not enough.
