After reading much of the Book of Pook I see how most of the tactics and strategies covered here, while in themselves do work, are basically masking an inner confidence/calm/strength/wisdom/passion/whatever.
As I read here, I see so many conflicting ideas on every topic. Do it this way, or you're an AFC, don't do that or you'll be an AFC, you should have known she thinks you're an AFC etc. (also this word, "AFC" being thrown around just makes you think of AFC even more).
But there are dudes who are successful with women, and don't think about it. They just do it. And I bet there are times they "break the rules" of what to do with women, or when to do it, but it doesn't affect their success much, if at all.
I know a guy who's good with girls. I asked him a few questions, things that may be brought up here. He didn't have many answers. I could tell it's not something he thinks about very much. To him, women are fun. Not much thought necessary.
Maybe I'm not like that yet... but people come here and ask for moment by moment advice (me too) and somewhere down the road you become a robot. You don't even know what to do anymore without checking to see if it makes you an AFC or not. Then you may do something against your gut, or that you didn't want to do anyway, because it didn't fit in with "the game."
Maybe he's just following his own instinctual inner nature. Just being a man. I'm guilty of thinking way too fricking much. Even though I like this place, I can see how all this second guessing (after you've understood the basics) can only get in your way. What is the point... to enjoy life (women and success/happiness) or to just not to appear as an AFC?
On the flip side, a guy who is good with women doesn't think in these terms. He just does what feels right in the moment. So how can he be successful if he's not consulting the manual? Doesn't he know all the consequences?
Confidence, and not giving a ****. I think I'll take that over any seduction methods I could learn.
What do you guys think about this?
