"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Suppose you had a date and it went great. You did all the right things. Leaned back. Did the kiss test. Got some nice making out and lots of smiles and laughs on her end. Busted her balls. Stole her frame. Used lots of ****y comedy. Gave some mixed signals along the way..was fun and unpredicatable. Date was Sat. All we did was walk around an outside shopping center, went to a resturant, and only had water. (Get this: I casually just said as we were walking. I'm thirsty. Lets go get something to drink. We walked in, ordered 2 waters, continued the conversation over water on a lovely summer day. Love it.) When would be a good day to call? I considered Monday. What do you guys think? I'd love to hear different perspectives on this one.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I'd say wednesday. That way if she diggs you, she'll be pretty antsy and eager to hear from you.

Lets see what others say.

Call just to set up the next date, not to just chat with her. I like Wednesday evening as well, gives you a few days to get your work/school set up for the week and let the attraction and interest simmer.

Typically, I just send a follow up email saying that I had a nice time, short and simple, that's it. I even had a thread on it on ecards on the enotalone. com site put up yesterday on the 'Dating' section, where it was concluded that a short email follow up saying you had a nice time and to wish the other person a good week is enough. This email is sent usually the following day and it is more like a 'reinforcement' that basically there was a good time, and to guage the level of interest a day after the date. How long does she take to reply to it? Does she reply to it? Does she say she also had a good-time? Does she say not to call or email her again?

Second dates should be arranged at the end of the first date, so when you are asking for a second date, you are not really asking, you will take words out of her mouth and say, you remember we agreed to go xyz at the end of the first date, and take it from there. So you are following up with it, not really asking her out for another date, you are reiterating what was already arranged.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I think David D. might sort of disagree with this logic though. Have a look cus I might be misreading you:

If a first date is going well, would you try to set up the second date right then and there?

Never make a date on a date. This is a biggie.

When you're out with a woman and you try to make plans to see her again, you're basically letting the wuss out of the bag. This tells her instantly that she has you, which means the chase -- and the fun -- is over.

Instead, make it your goal to get her to ask you to hang out again. Let her do the chasing. Women love a man who is challenging and unpredictable, so don't blow this for you or for her.

This is the No. 1 "killer" of second dates for guys who think they are good with women.

However, I suppose if you do it in the right way, the woman will ask you for the date...?

Setting up a second date on the first date is as lame is it gets. It shows that you are desperate. ALWAYS have several plates spinning or at least make the chick believe you do. Desperation is a turn-off.

I usually give the chick a quick call the next day (1-2 mins) and tell her I had fun. I then put her on the backburner for a couple of days (3-4 days usually) while I'm busy spinning other plates, before calling her up and setting a new date.

Experience has shown that some chicks tend to get pissed when you don't give them that courtesy day after call (especially if you've porked her).

It's like the blind leading the blind.
Look, this is a free discussion forum - that means, if I write something on here, I'm not taking a position of saying this is the right way or wrong way, so I'm not giving any advice or leading anyone other than stating what is on my mind about a subject.

Even if something is 'wrong' but important issue, it could lead to a discussion incase anything was misssed anyway.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Harsh, but I agree. The problem with these types of forums at times is that some of them end up being a ton of inexperienced guys advising each other, which doesn't do much good. Guys with good experience should stick around and try to help those that need the help.

I'll address two things that keep coming up in this thread:

1) Don't call the next day to say "I had a great time" or whatever your line of choice is. Say you had a great time at the end of the date and leave it at that. Don't say you'll call again or give a specific day you'll call. Kiss her at the end of the date. Keep her excited and antsy waiting for your call. You want her to have butterflies in her stomach.

2) Don't set up a date at the end of a date. Call a few days after your date, set up the next date, and leave it at that. You want to be explicit about the date and time you will pick her up/meet her. You don't have to call again the day of the date to make sure she remembers. Believe me, if you are doing things right she will be thinking about your date all week and have it circled on her calendar.

You've got it. The #1 mistake guys make is moving too fast (calling too much, setting up too many dates, etc). You need to have the confidence to know that she won't just "forget" about you because you haven't called her every other day.

You can kiss at the end of the date if it's in a crowded coffee shop or should a k-close be done somewhere private?

I kissed my HOT HOT HOT date on the first date, just as we were walking outside. Before I did it though, we were having this conversation about risks, and she said, "I view risks as oppertunities." It made the perfect segway to me, looking deep in her eyes, moving my arms around her, pulling her to me and kissing, she quickly turned it into a french kiss...so long behold..I did something right.

Point being..I don't think it matters "where" aslong as the vibe and mood is right. It could be out in public or one on one, I think it is all about the mood. (Unless ofcourse you are with a woman who is totally insecure about kissing in public, and PDA (Public displays of affection) in general.)

Now to get technical, would experience show a woman getting POed if you waited a few days to call, if you didn't have all out sex and if all you did was make out? Or same rule still apply? :nervous:
