You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
What mike32ct said is correct. Women are attracted to both alpha and betas. Both alphas and betas can get women, its the same game only that they have different skillsets.Mike32ct said:Betas get women too. The type of women and the quantity is different.
Really, the only way you can keep a woman is by keeping her deeply invested in you. If a woman is only superficially invested in you, than she can theoretically jump ship at any time. On the other hand, getting a woman to deeply invest in you can keep her around even when you are winning, losing, alpha, beta, champ, chump, chimp or whatever. That's pretty much it.Burroughs said:Good looking betas get far more women than average looking alphas
now as far as keeping them...
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
I would have to agree with you that what people typically think that alpha, beta, omega, etc. males are, is bullsh1t. It is because in order to really understand what that means you have to understand metaphysics, philosophy, history, even witchcraft dare I say it. The real reason that men became labelled alpha, beta, omega whatever in the first place started with the Greeks and they used math with astrology and the zodiac. Every letter in the whole Greek alphabet even has astronomical associations with the planets.perseverance said:This whole Beta, Omega and Alpha stuff is a load of $hit.
Be the man you want to be and leave the labels to people obsessed with labels. Labels are meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
I see, so attraction is not a choice, but we can have it on our terms.backbreaker said:both of you are wrong though mike is on the right track.
the problem is that the OP thinks we are here to get women. we aren't. we are here to get women on our terms.
I wholeheartedly disagree with anyone who thinks all women are the same and respond the same, and that you have to be alpha all the time. I think that men go back and forth between being an alpha and beta male depending upon circumstance and its what a man learns from being the alpha or beta male that makes him successful with women. Being either one in itself doesn't do much, its the skills you gain from each that matters and that you both survive and prosper from what you have learned. That is what matters when it comes to being a man. That's why. Because any dip**** can get sex. you get a girl drunk enough or desperate enough or lonely enough anything can happen. But we aren't here to have sex, we are here to learn how to manage our lives in respects to relationships. that doesn't necessarily mean getting a GF. that's part of it. it is also learning how to get over a GF. how to manage a GF, how to not manage a GF, how to not get trapped in a dead in marriage, etc.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

the avg guy, doesn't have THAT much trouble getting women. getting women is not some herculean task. if you can half ass dress, you wash your ass, groom yourself and you are pretty much going to be able to date at least 6's and 7's from time to time.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

this again? Really?evan12 said:I always read how much I have to be outgoing and alpha and on the top of men to get a woman , but when I go out I find men from all degrees some of them very beta and have a gf , are we missing some thing here ?
I wouldn't expect an inbred such as yourself to understand my point, I'd imagine you're too busy fingering your Sister to educate yourself.Fatal Jay said:
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
