"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

How is relationship/love life after college?

I am asking this because I am 21 and have about 1.5 years left of college left and it seems scary that I hear most people say it all goes downhill after college. Assuming you don't have that many friends right now, does that mean things will get very hard once you start working full time?

I start imagining working every day and then it would be that b/c I don't have much connections. Of course when your in your late 20s, most guys are married or close to married and what happens to the guy that still is siingle? I know you should not worry about love/relationships because they will happen when you least expect them but is the fun really over after you graduate from college?

Thanks.

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It totally depends on your situation, and many factors. For instance, if my post-college love/sex life is going to be worse than it was in college, I'm going to suck a tail pipe. Seriously. That's doubtful though, since I didn't have any such life in college. I was a depressed loner and I've been trying to improve my state of mind and my social skills, and at this point in my life I'm more interested in exploring the world and having fun rather than starting a career. However, yes, you will NEVER live in an environment that's nearly as conducive to meeting girls (and people in general) as college is. Live it the f*ck up and minimize your college-years regrets.

I would suggest to find a job around a large college or employ yourself and attend the college part time. That is what I do. It's the best of both worlds. Not only that, you are more attractive to the college females than the younger college males since you have a career. Of course, the more guys that get in on this, the smaller the pool of girls for me... but most guys don't, so I'm in heaven. :)

well heres another thing i wanted to add. I go to a commuter college and have been there for 3 years already. Most students who go to my college all are commmuters and I am pretty sure a good amount of them still live with their parents... and that includes me as well.

I do not have many friends and don't hang out much anymore. Been on the computer a lot now and you know... that story. My friends are focused on schoolwork etc and graduating on time but the thing is none of them really hang out or live party like your normal college student. Another reason is b/c the college is a commuter college. They all want to graduate on time and get jobs but the thing is they don't seem to have much fun... their kind of fun is playing video games like Xbox and Ps3. Not that i have anything against it but I quitted video games a long time ago. And the funny part is I kind of know more people than them which makes it sound even worst.

I was your geek in high school and never had much success. Then i heard the women gets hot when you go to college. Well I been in college for 3 years already and now I am thinking where as all the time been and I am close to finished which is the reason why I am posting this. Yes, i agree that you should just live and have no regrets while in college. I just heard so many people say social life is very hard here and the idea of online dating scares me even more with other people say thats how they date because they don't have the college environment anymore. I also have a friend that is pretty close to me and he's pretty focused on getting a good paying job and we always talk about guy stuff like women, money, and jobs etc.

I am also wondering who are the friends you guys hang out with on the weekends now? Is it usually your college buddies, high school buddies, co-workers or just random occurences? I just hear a lot of people say their bestest friends were from high school a lot and lesser from college. Also, to the person who said that work makes life go faster which is good, I would then ask myself what I am looking forward to at the end of the day since it gets harder after college ends.

Thanks.

Well, I just graduated, too. My college was pretty small so that by the time I graduated, I felt like I had run out of new, quality girls to sarge. (That, and many of the girls at my school seemed to be hippie liberals, which I did not want.) I'm looking forward to a new environment.

i'm headed to law school in a totally new city, which i'm kinda excited about. i should have to study a fair amount, but still i think the social scene will be nice.

imo, college networking is a little overrated. Most of my friends have moved out of town lately, but i've met some new people just in the past month of being home for the summer. Networking through siblings' friends, playing sports, meeting people at the gym, meeting girls online, etc, all seem to be legitimate social possibilities

I may not meet as many single women as I met while in college, but I don't need to meet as many because my game is better and casual sex does not interest me that much anymore. I have a few women I date, a few female friends who I know behave right at an office party, and 2 fb's to satisty the needs of the flesh :) After college, you have better skills to game women longer and you also get better at picking out good women you want to be around for a while. If a girl lasts you 12 dates rather than 2, you don't need to meet as many women.

The only people who say it goes down hill are the ones who spent college partying. The ones who were too trapped in the moment to plan for the future. You know...the jocks... the sorority ho's.....the frat boys. For those fools....you better believe it it goes down hill!!! HAHAHAHA.
Once they get out into the real world NOBODY CARES what sport they play or what greek organization they belong to. Graduation for those types is indeed a crushing blow...

hey wutang. I remembered you asked that height thing. Do you really feel that you are short? What country do you live in? I live in new york city and the average height here should be around 5'9 or so. I recall normal people say someone is short if they are 5'7 and under or 5'6 and under. If you were 5'9 would you still say you're short?

I see myself just a little bit below average but not short. The only times i feel short is when I am playing basketball with people 6'1 and up or when I am with some of my friends who are around 5'11 and one who is 6'2.

Have any women ever called you short before? One woman thought i was tall but that was b/c she was only 5'1 and my hair style looks like between spikey hair and an afro. One woman said 5'8 to them is respectable. I think most woman around 5'2 to 5'3 said they want their man's height to be like 5'8 or 5'9 since they are a bit shorter than the average for women of 5'4.

Just my thoughts.

I've been out of college for about a year. I went to a very small college, it was like a boarding high school. I've lived in Las Vegas and now I live in Austin. I moved to both places having no friends.

I'm only 23 but my feeling is that no time period in life is better than any other. It might be a little more difficult but if you put in the effort any age can be the best of your life. Cold approaches are really key after college. It's not likely you'll see the same women regularly. You have to act.

TRUST ME, unless your drop dead, Brad Pitt, good looking, it's much better to be an average looking guy whose on the dorky side and makes a ton of money when you get past 25, than to be a jock whose loosing his edge and drinking himself to death after his construction gig.

Both Warrior1 and Master Bates are 5'8 if I recall. I'm the same height, and sadly, it never gets easier for us. Women HATE short men. The more sexually experienced they get, the LESS they want to date short guys. I'm good looking, and I would MUCH rather be 6'2 and butt ugly than 5'8 and handsome. Girls care way more about your perceived alphaness (height, build, career) than your facial symmetry or whatever.

My only chance is to make a lot of money and go to Latin America, which I plan on doing.
my problems were depression/anxiety-related, not physical. I know girls find me attractive, and even with my dorky haircut and ultra shy demeanor I had a few hotties throw themselves at me early in college. I was just too much of a tard to do anything about it. 5'4"-5'5" is tiny. 5'8 is an obstacle but not a bad one if you have other things going for you. It didn't stop Johnny Depp from becoming the world's biggest male sex symbol. Trust me, 6'2 and butt ugly is nothing to be jealous about. A butt ugly 6'2 guy has nothing on a handsome 5'8 guy with better game. If you're having problems with women, a height of 5'8 ain't it.

Well I am sort of like you Celadus in a way but my college isn't that small. Most new york city residents who didn't move upstate or out of state went to these schools. I kinda regretted not going upstate for college 3 years ago b/c almost all my guy friends went to this commuter college and I decided to tag along. Yes... i wasn't thinking for myself. I just said just stay here and come home everyday. Well... that one was one of hte biggest mistakes i made since I still live with my parents now.

There are no dorms etc and the only place you really get to know other people is in the cafeteria or the library. I guess i paid the price for not leaving.

Oh and i remember when I was 18 and i was practicing for cold approaches in my room like think of something to say etc. That was only for a year then the next 2 yearss i kind of wasted my life by doing absoultely nothing. I wished i could get those yeasrs back but hey thats life and I gotta go do my thing now before I realize I am 35 and wonder what happened to my youth.

yep, college is the best time of your life IF you're really good and looking and go to a party school.
Hah, you just don't get it, do you?

All you need to get laid by "hotties" at a party school is sexual presence and some "alphaness". Please stop giving sh!tty advice.

Warrior1:It seems that the whole dynamic shifts more away from "fooling around" in college to the more traditional dating type system in the "real world". I wouldn't say it's "much harder", but it's definately a change. However, I think the environment you have gaming girls at a commuter college is more similar to gaming girls in the real world than it is at a traditional college, so you're not at much of a disadvantage.

Graduated about a month ago. I have mixed feelings actually. On one hand I am excited to get out b/c I am outgrowing the college crowd. Im 24, so college parties are not what they used to be. Just like I thought high school was silly when I was in college. I now feel the same way about college. I also feel the same way about a lot of college girls.

I think it is time for me to move on. Get a job or go to grad school, I don't have a job yet so I don't know what the social atmosphere is like. Establish a social circle and meet women from there. I think I am a lot more attracted to young professionals then college chicks.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

wutang, you need to get over your height. I've read that girls prefer guys to be 1.1 times their height. Just look for a girl who is 5'2" or 5'3".

And get some therapy for your mental problems if they're holding you back in life. OCD can definitely be overcome, and DJism itself (including exercise) is a good cure for depression.

A 5'7 girl is not going to date a 5'8 guy easily, but a 5'4 one won't pass him up if he has good game. Girls also wear 2-4 inches of heel, so the height difference needs to accomodate for that. Hit the gym and make sure your build is on point, that will also help with depression BTW. The short guys that are turning girl off and creeping em out are the short, fat, busted ones. Tom Cruise doesn't creep em out.
