I would say a good majority of my social connections via Meetup has been my way of making new friends and meeting women.
I have known people to have met and even married through these groups.
I also found that instead of asking for the digits, I just contact the women via their messaging system when I got home with a "It was nice meeting/talking with you at Frank's BBQ party" and go from there.
With social media on the upswing, do you find that just going through social media communications to possibly trump the phone since they are pretty much one in the same?
