How far are you from your goals?

far. years and years and years.

i want to be a doctor... i decided to leave high school early because it was a huge waste of time... so i took my GED. i haven't taken any classes yet. it's going to be a real pain.

i know what i want, but there are SOOO many paths to get there.

the easiest, but most painful way to get there is to have the military (air national guard) pay for it. it's not as hard as it seems, i'm sure... the easiest of all the military basic trainings and tech schools, i'm VERY sure... but it's a huge change of lifestyle i don't want to commit to.

i ALMOST had a chance to get a full ride at a 4 year local college. be the top scorer on the GED test within the room i was taking it in... with a minimum of a certain number... and i was 6 freakin points away... thats almost neglible compared to how many freakin questions i got right. with this, i could have skipped the military completely.

it still pisses me off telling that story to people.

it's minor... but for some reason i really don't want to put up with the strict rules of the military.... i can't grow my hair out to even a medium length for how many years if i join. and... my hairs been shaggy for years.

but it's going to take dedication... and i have to do what i have to do. the benefits are worth it (getting paid TO GO to school, getting paid for one weekend of service, sign on bonus of $15,000... money money.)... but i freakin hate change. i'm pretty scared of life of being a REAL adult.

Young brother, the trick is to prioritize your goals. Pick one or two which are feasable and accomplish those first. Move on to the next one or to follow.
