"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

If two people still love each other very much but 'take some time off' how does it work? When do people know when it's time to get back together? How do people usually get back together in these situations?

Is it OK to date other people? I'm really confused about what to do when I love someone who loves me back but we're not together right now.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

It works when one person is intrested, the other isn't. The one who isn't suggests to take some time off.

When do people know when it's time to get back together?
When the person who's not intrested, becomes intrested.

How do people usually get back together in these situations?
Usually they don't

Is it OK to date other people?
Yes. That's the whole point of taking a break from someone.

First: If she loved you then she wouldn't need to take a break. And don't buy into the "I will always love you" crap women can feed out.

Second: If she is taking a break that means she is probably getting done by someone else right now and when that dude is threw treating her like the hor that she is she might think about dragging you through some more emotional pain.

Finally: Get over her and move on. I have personally never seem em come back. When they suggest taking a break in ******** that means she is sick of dealing with a whinny clingy assed symp and is looking around for some excitement.

How does 'taking a break' from a relationship work?

not very well.

my friend "took a break" from his gf of 2 years (we'll call her jenny) to get some space, she still called him everyday, and wanted to know what he was doing all the time.

Then he was talking to some other girl and jenny keyed the shyt out of his new car. Good luck!

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

It means she wants to explore other options while she keeps you in the background. If she doesn't find anyone else then she may come back to you but don't count on it. Don't let any woman think she can keep you on the backburner. Cut off all contact. Go out and date other women immediately.

it's when things sometimes dont work out and you take time to let the dust settle first. and then you decide or whoever decided to call a break as to whether or not you continue the relationship or not.

not good.

my friend wanted to "take a break" with his long distance relationship GF of 2 yrs. because it's causing him money and time, when he doesnt have it. he has to pursue his goals at the moment and cant invest time in it.

She called him the other day, and asked if he wanted to be friends. he said if it doesnt bother her then yes, if it hurts too much then cut contact....she chose to cut contact and not be freinds cuz it hurt too much.

so most of the time...this doesnt work out well

I've said it before, I'll say it again:

Women don't "take a break" from guys they want an LTR with!
Women don't "take a break" from guys they love!
Women don't "take a break" from guys they respect!

If you break a cup, it can't hold water. If you break a window, the rain comes in. If you take a break in a relationship...THEN IT'S OVER!!!

True, all of it!!

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

JCKey618, I'm assuming it was your g/f and not you who called this moratorium.

Everything that's been said on this thread is all good. There's a VERY slim possibility she'll take you back but right now is most likely 'exploring other options' and you're her back up plan if it all goes wrong.

The more likely scenario is that she's talking ********. 'Let's take a break' in ******** means 'you're dumped but I don't have the heart to break it to you that hard and I hope you'll just fizzle out of my life and not make a huge scene and smash up my beanie baby collection'.

Ok that's a bit harsh but women in general don't like confrontation and think it's kinder to soften the blow.

But either way, you should try to regain your self respect. Go out, date other women, forget about her UNLESS she contacts you, admits she's been wrong and really, really wants you back.

Sorry but none of those are true. While they may be the majority, it doesn't make it always true.

A friend of mine and his girl took a break for about 6 months after dating for 2+ years. They're back together now. But with him about to graduate college she realized how serious they were (talking about marriage) and wanted some time to get her stuff together. She's a really good Christian girl and she just wanted to make sure it was meant to be. She never stopped loving him.

Actually, I first brought up the subject of breaking up....

Since breaking up, we've talked to eachother daily and she tells me she loves me more than anything and would do anything for me and I tell her the same. We've been remembering the good times we shared with eachother and today she said she regretted us ever breaking up. She says she misses me.

Ok, her situation is that her grades f'in SUCK! She received 2 F's, 2 D's and a C on her last report card. This is why we broke it off. She said she needs to focus on school right now and once she gets that together we can try to resume our relationship.

Such a bad bad girl.

I don't know why, but grades are important for me too. I don't wanna have a failing girlfriend.

Right, I don't know the full details of your relationship, obviously, but this argument just doesn't seem to hold water. Why can't she fit seeing you in with her revision? When I was a student I managed to have a steady girlfriend who I saw about once a week while I was revising more or less constantly.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
