How does pills open up when u swallow them??!!

You know those pills that u can open up right, well i was wondering how do they open up when u swallow them?

It might be a dumb question but i just cant figure it out.

That depends on the coating of the pill. Usually a few minutes.

they dont open, they dissolve. put a pill that has the plastic type casing in warm water and see what happens

Yes they do dissolve into the blood stream. But putting a capsule in water ain't the same as when it's in the stomach, with all the acids and food already in your gut. Plus the temprature also dissolve the tab faster in the gut. But what's already in your stomach depends on how long it gets into your bloodstream.
