"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I'm going to try to make this short and sweet. Last week I was a friend's house with one of his friends whom I met for the first time. He was bugging the hell out of me:mad: . I finally told him in a serious voice and straight forward face, "If you say one more thing about me there will be problems" He mumbled something and I said, "What, what was that? I didn't hear you" All said and done the kid stopped messing around.:nono:
Lately I've noticed I let people dictate me. They use me, talk about me and I laugh it off. I finally stood up for myself. That being said when is it proper to laugh it off and when to settle it? I mean if guys talk about you and you don't like it? I'm not a punk but people to it subconsciously. I mean I don't wanna have to fight people all the time to prove a point ya know?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

When you're in a situation like you were, I'd say you have to get serious, like you did. You handled it well. But when to laugh it off? Well, I'd say you need to keep a balance. If you always just let stuff go, you'll be a pushover. If you always get serious, you're a prick and can't take a joke.

I'd laugh it off when it doesn't really mean anything, or if the person is just stupid, and everyone else thinks the same thing. If no one takes him seriously, he'll either back down or chill out.

I'd get serious when someone is messing with you about something that really matters, or if they just keep on doing it, long after the joke has died. Just being an a$$, really. ^_^

Judge the situation, and apply the proper solution.

If someone makes comments that aren't needed whether they are directed at me or someone else I tell them that "Wow,all these jokes/comments are showing how mature you are." in a seriuos tone(after they took it too far). Most of the time they stop,if that doesnt stop it do the other best choice possible leave them, they aren't worth your presence.

if you're noticing a lot of it, you gotta think long and hard also about WHAT YOU'RE PUTTING OUT THERE.

in general, people's treatment of you is some kind of a reflection of you and how you feel about yourself.

people who get pushed around and bullied by many often put out there the message "i suck and i deserve to be pushed around".

if you're getting disrespected constantly, examine what it is you're putting out there that might be inviting that. cuz if you're the one that's putting it out there, you might have to fight an awful lot of people - and the simpler solution would be fighting just one - yourself, and fixing whatever's the issue.

What is he saying to disrespect you? Alot of trash-talking comes from jealousy.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
