Okay, situation: she's being a jerk so you cut contact. A couple of weeks go by and she calls, leaves a msg asking A) how you are and B) wants to pick your brain about *insert common interest*.

How do you keep from falling into the same pattern of "Oh boy, she wants to TALK to me, le pant le pant!!!" and then you end up calling and talking about subject B thinking "Oh, if I restablish rapport she'll warm up to me."?
 

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Which has me wondering about the general theme of this website. Is the mark of a true Master Don Juan to be able to get a woman or to be able to get a woman of your choosing? IMHO there are far too many people on here whose sole goal is to get laid. Seems like hookers are a simpler solution.

Should it not be the goal of the Master Don Juan to be able to select a woman, dodge and parry her bullsh*t, beat her at her games and ultimately score with that same girl?
