"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I seem to have an issue staying in contact with friends, we always seem to drift apart and eventually just forget. I have problems making close friends in particular, although I have lots and lots of acquaintances in my daily routine.

I'm currently 21 and in college and I find myself in an uncomfortable situation: pretty much there are like no girls let alone guys around my age at my school, I've noticed many people who go there are adults in their 30s or so who are already well into their careers and just coming back to get another degree/etc. I can't seem to find anyone who is similar to myself in my immediate vicinity, mostly the people I see on the streets around here are old people driving their outdated Buicks/Cadillacs at like 15 mph below the speed limit :cuss: . I am also working part time for gas money and what not, and all the workers are 30-40+.

Typically I'll start getting to know someone, do some stuff (get togethers, grab a beer, etc) and eventually we just kind of forget about each other. I can't seem to stay close to people in general.

Pretty much all the people I knew from high school have drifted away/moved. I made a ton of friends via WoW who I chatted up a lot, but ever since I quit playing I have lost contact with them. I just can't seem to keep any close friends, I'm not sure if it's me or just the demographics (lack of young people).

Any suggestions?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I kinda have the same problem. I have 2 best friend from hs but lately we have been drifting apart. It seems like everytime i have to call them or set up something to do whenever we do something. One of the friends never even calls either me or the other friend.. the other friend calls me many times but he never has any ideas to do something. I have to set stuff up all the time which kinda frustrates me. In college i met some friend but we are not close , mostly study together and talk about school. I have many other friends that i met at work but i barely talk to them and if i do want to talk to them i have to text them or call them first. Very frustrating.

I also have this problem, I live in the forest. I am not kidding. I live in the forest and the main reason I don't talk to anyone is because my life is totally uninteresting.
