"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I found through my last few weeks of journey that there are people receptive to conversation, and there are others who get big paranoid when you start talking to them.

But there is this consistent theme that two people that were paranoid were male and old, is there any correlation here? How do you handle the situation if they are freaking out?

I try to talk to almost everyone, and I focus my conversation on the other individual, I try to be assertive, so is it so wrong to talk to everybody?

I don't want to only pick on girls so I talk to guys also about what they're doing, and how their life is going, so is it wrong to talk to male counterpart?

I am trying to come out of introverted personality, so I try to talk to whoever I find on my way, should I just tone down my approaches? only pick on girls?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Absolutely not. You're doing fine.

You'll find that most of the guys out there are the very men you're trying to evolve beyond yourself. Do not concern yourself with their reactions. Just continue being unbiasly social. Plow through and give it no thought.

Ever see Billy Madison, Remember when he was in high school.

old people, it would freak them out even more...

How do I let them know that I want nothing but social interaction with them, why are people so afraid to talk?

THe image I see going through their head is anywhere from begger looking for money to gay hitting on them, Should I just walk away?

Smile!! But a genuine smile. If you have that "I sell life insurance pops" smile, than they'll be paranoid.
my understanding some people have never had a stranger come upto them to start conversation, So I look it at like no matter how I behave after the first paranoid, I won't be able to change their mind..\

Some people have lived similar kind of lifestyle for so long that they get thretened when sombody tries another approach.
