but be smart... dont ever get knifes/bottles/guns (especially) unless its something like you getting robbed, or someone is trying to kill you or some shiet like that..

i myself dont go picking up fights... but get real.. if someone is insulting you cant ignore them..because u just cant...wheres your self respect? you sound like my grandma

Well look how it turned out, he ignored them and saved himself a fight and if you had a girl you probably rather stay out of any fights. How was he being insulted? The kid was just trying to start something. And yeah I've talked to **** to random people before. It's usually just nothing.

growing up... at least where I was from.... you got into fights. If you didn't defend yourself, you got picked on everyday and got your ass whipped until you uldn't come back outside anymore, then your mom would whip your ass for getting your ass whipped and not fighting back and send you back outside to get your ass rewhipped. You had to fight.

and you lived to play another day at the end. yes you got bruised, eveyonce ina while you got a busted nose.. but you also got respect. even if yo cuoudlnt' fight a lick.. no one wants to scrap with a scrapper.

My little brother... who didn't grew up anywhere near like I did, has been put in a public school for the first time this past year. He has gotten beat up at least 5 times... kids envious of the clohtes he wears, the fact that he's good looking (hey..what can I say.. we are a good looking family), smart..He never fights back. He's scared to walk home. Just kids who know they can play around with him because he isn't going to him him.. because his mom taught im 'that's wrong to hit people". I called him last month and I told him if my dad tells me again you got beatup and dint' at least fight back, I am personally flying back to arkansas and I will put my own foot in your ass. you have to man up at some point. Dont' go around starting confrontations with people but unless they have weapons... you need to learn to take an ass whopping from time to time.

Don't put your foot in his ass. Send him to a good MMA school.

most of the times I ignore, if I am with a girl and they call her a *****/slut I feel that I have to defend her honor. Generally speaking you go for the leader of the group, come in hard and fast get him on the ground. I find that 90% of the time when you take down the biggest guy in the group everybody else backs off.

Grab Bas Ruttens fighting dvd's (you can download them online). Again generally speaking people like this rather not fight they just want to intimidate you. So if you approach him say somethign generic like 'what did you say?' and then immediately go for a jab to the throat or hook to the jaw he wont have time to react and will be on the floor.

If you're fighting a group of people, you're going to go down, period. I don't care how much Bas Rutten you've been studying. I think I know enough martial arts to handle about 3 guys of my size MAX at the same time and that's pushing it. If the fight goes to the ground, I'm going to get stomped by the other 2. Best thing to do in such a situation is stay on your feet, move around a lot and make sure no one gets behind you. Keep the fight in your front range of vision.

Oh, and Bas Rutten is the sh*t, but you CANNOT I repeat CANNOT learn to fight from watching DVDs. The only way to learn to fight is by doing lots of full contact sparring against an opponent that knows what he's doing. Trust me on that one.

I love having my little bro around but I couldn't deal with his mom anymore.. calling my phone every 10 mintues.. him having to check in everytime we left the house... you can keep your ass at home if it's that serious.

He got his authentic Kobe Bryant Jersey stolen from him and wouldn't tell anyone because he was scared the people who stole it would beat him up again. That's the type of self respect you loose when you back away from chumps like that. Again..I'll take an ass whopping. Sometimes the Ass whopping is part of the point and the message. Unless you stick me up.. you aren't getting **** off my back.. that's what's NOT going to happen. I'd go home with a broken leg before that happened.

yeah.. the only way you will ever really know if you can fight or not.. is to fight.

In a real fight, no one really gives a **** who won or loss. I'm going to get licks in regardless of who I'm fighting and I'm going to get hit as well.

I"m not saying to out and just start body slamming people but don't be afraid to get your ass whipped.. if that's the extent of it. that's the message of this thread.

And I took Karate for the just about 6 years and I STILL don't like getting into fights.. One person isn't going to whip me. I can defend myself.I can hurt the guy Badly. But 3-4 guys... I'm going to get whipped. This isn't double dragon. it's no shame in it.. it's 4 guys! But I promise you I will beat the **** out of one of them.

Man, that's just sad. Well, you better make sure the kid grows balls. Make that your mission as a brother, because this will spill over into other areas of his life and he will learn to be intimidated by women, bosses, whoever. My OTHER little brother on the other hand.. he's 5... and I can see it already. He's going to be worst then me or my dad. He already got suspended from school for beating the snot out of a kid who threw a crayon at him. No shame in his game whatsoever. I remember the last time I saw him, I went over my dad's house to hook up his new PS2 for him and he wanted to play spongebob and I was playing REsident Evil (good influence hun?), and instead of going to cry and tell my dad.. he cracked the **** out of me... and then stood there and mugged me like "Now what B!tch!".. i couldn't do nothing but laugh.. and I let him play his game.

hey man when I was 14-17 years old, we had a movie theater in our mall (damn sweet) and on saturday nights.. it was the palce to be.....for EVERYONE.

I mean EVERYONE.

I've seen gang fights bust out.. mother****ers jumping off esculators to jump a guy, I've seen it all. **** I almost got into a fight with my Gf when I lied to her and told her I was sick and took someone else to the movies.. and she was there.


but for the most part you are right... that 'hard ass crew' in the mall probably just got done playing streets of rage or something.
