Tell her vividely what her life will look like beeing a single mother (if that would be your decision) who would have to fight for child support. Show her some examples of the consequences for her and her child.

And that she is a good woman who could find a "quality man" who is willing and able to support her and their (!) child soon.

Depends on how underhanded or not you want to be.

Firstly, consider alternatives to abortion. There's adoption, not just by complete strangers, but by family too that would be in a good position to look after the kid.

You have two tactical choices: Negotiation or Action. The legal and moral implications of Action varies. I'll give you all of the possibilities that I can think of; I'm not endorsing any particular choice, as only you can make that choice.

Discuss the matter with her. I'm willing to wager that niether of you are in a good position for parenthood. Play the fact that the child's quality life will be poor because you're not in a position to look after it. Don't just say "I don't want a kid 'cos".

This would likely have better results: Tell her that you dont want to have a future relationship with her; but that you are dead serious about having 50% custody. Then you will not have to pay her sanything and she will not want your next girlfriend helping you raise "her" child.

Let me just say from personal experience that: 1. Once a woman's mind is made up, that's it. No going back. And 2. I was 19 when I got my g/f pregnant, and 20 when my son was born. It has done wonders for my life, and I'm a completely different person because of it. I'm not saying that having a baby isn't hard, because it is, but nothing makes you more of a man than stepping up to the plate and taking care of that child. If it has to come down to it, you should do the adoption thing, but other than that, fatherhood is fukking AMAZING. When the sperm fertalizes the egg, it's already a developing human with it's own life. The embryo has all the information and DNA needed to mature into a full human adult personality. Would you kill a 1 year old child just because he/she is not yet fully developed or a handicapped or retarded person cause he/she isn't fully developed?

Every human being has a God given right to life. The baby in her mothers womb is a seperate human life from his mother and father. And the role and duty now as parents of this human life form is to protect their offspring until she can fend for herself.
