how do you deal with this?

well, i recently befriended an ironsmith and am going to take up learning to forge,mold and cast random stuff.

when my parents heard about it from my nosy landlord....they started to say "oh you wanna be macho...." ":he thinks he is manly now"

and just the other day i invited my dad to go hunting for pheasants when i get back home after 4 fawking years...

"oh you are so cruel, i like to feed animals,not kill them"

my question is,how do i deal with this?
if it was a b1tch ill just next her, but i cant next my family....even though they are everything i stand against

Sounds like my family. I just take all their 5hit with a grain of salt. I let them speak their mind to help them feel better, and then I ignore it. There's no way to change them, so just let them vent their feelings, and then do whatever you want. They may eventually back down a bit when they see that they can't tell you what to do.

Say what they wanna hear, and do what you wanna do. I've also noticed it's not the best thing in the world to voice your intent to everyone. Most people (family included) love and live to shoot you down. Now, I just shut up and do what I need to do.
