how do you clear internet history?

hey, I look up porn on my comp. But my parents always get nosey and figure out what sites Ive been to. I clear the history the correct way by going to internet options and clicking on "clear history" and undercontent "clear forms" and "clear passwords".

Despite this, my parents are still able to figure out what sites I am visiting.
How is this possible? how are they able to figure out where I have been even after clearing it. How can I clear it so its 100% gone and no way to figure it out?

it's free, and there is no spyware.
once you install it, hide it somewhare.

windows doesn't get rid of all temp. files, you have to delete them by hand....or use that program.

There's a few ways they could've figured out what you were doing.

They looked at your cookies
Clearing the history doesn't clear your cookies. In Firefox goto Tools > Options > Privacy > Show cookies, and you can see all the cookies and the sites that they are from.

Spying on you
They installed some sort of spy program that secretly takes screenshots of what you've been up to.


BTW if they are spying on you then they will probably stumble upon this thread.

If you are talking about a networked computer it doesent matter if you wipe your entire hard drive. Most likely they keep track of it on the server side as soon as you hit a website.
