I think that was meant to be a shot against Nebraska. Trouble is, I absolutely agree with you! I went to Ann Arbor Michigan last summer (still in midwest) but man that place was like Vegas! I've never seen that much hot young tail walking around.....nice

Ann Arbor has hot b1tches because it's an affluent college town. It's not your prototype Midwestern city. But yes we are in agreement, the Midwest on the whole has the highest per capita incidence of cornfed women grazing in the aisles of Sam's Club.

EDIT: And really it's all about the margins. It's not the fact there are no hot chicks here, just that healthy looking ones (and not healthy as in 'full-bodied') are such a rarity.

How do you be more choosy?

Take a trip outside of Nebraska, and the Midwest in general. When you return, your standards will be raised significantly. Those pale, sickly looking, extra-padded HB7s you see everywhere will rightfully look like 2s again, and order will be restored in the jungle.

This, though seemingly shallow and completely looks/body based, is VERY good advice: Travel.

When I say travel, I mean, take a goofy road trip or go over seas and wander. Make half the point of the trip just to see people.

I'll never forget a wedding I had to go to in southern Illinois... I got back on the interstate Sunday morning to head home; instead of going north to go home, I went south.

HB: "Vulpine... um... where are you going?"
V: "To get some lunch."
HB: "Uh, ok, but... we are almost to KENTUCKY!"
V: "mmm... c h i c k e n." **
HB: *LOL* "KFC?"
V: "THE REAL DEAL!"

We ate KFC at store #3 (man, that was some damn good chicken, btw).

The point is, anything can be an excuse to travel. It's odd how little people stateside actually move around. We can roam around for thousands of miles without a passport... and don't.

Anyway, the point is, there is the grain belt, the bible belt, the sun belt... the midwest is the "loosened belt". Get away and see what hotties are: south, west, east... doesn't matter. No, watching baywatch doesn't count.

The first time I laid down game on the west coast, I remember how much more friendly women on the west coast were. I was shocked: not only were midwest women fugly/busted, they had crappy attitudes to boot?!? I realized that many midewest 6's carried themselves around like 10.5's, and it seriously irritated me when I got back.

Over time, I made it to the southwest, the south, and further north into Canada. I can go on and on about peripheral benefits of travel, but the experiences made a huge impact on my "dating" philosophies.

Standards were raised, and I was certainly more "choosy".

To really get a change of attitude, relocate for a year or two.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe everything you've said is true but if what I'm saying is true then go for it and put her past before you out of your head. If she really is still a slut, don't try to change her.

Guys thanks for the good advice! Traveling, having other options ect are great suggestions to help me raise my standards. A few other guys had some comments I want to address:

I have to admit you are right. She is a slut. Women are sexual creatures. I'm just not ready for such an arrangement as you say.

I haven't been interested in her from the beginning. Sure I thought she was hot but I didn't think I would ever have a shot with her. I figured it was just best to keep her as a friend and not have an agenda.

I didn't reject her. I was receptive to her flirting right up until she went out on Friday. I'm pretty sure she actually did sleep with another guy. Her interest level in me is so low that she would never try to make me jealous. She seemed surprised and a little sorry for me when she found out I was hurt by her actions.

I have always thought she was a slut. It was only in the last month or two that she and I have gotten closer and I thought I might have a chance with her. She hasn't been sleeping around during this time as she has had a bit of a dry spell. That is why she started flirting with me in the first place. She has changed her view of me as someone who is a sexual person but she doesn't like me enough to want a relationship. I have gathered that much from conversations since she slept with that other guy. My problem is I overlooked the things I didn't like about her in hopes that this previously off limits girl would hook up with me and change her ways. "Keep her as a friend" - I don't want to sound like an ******* but the only girls guys keep as a friend are hot ones that they think they will intially get rejected by and therefore by becoming there friend they think they have a chance. I'm not having a go, it does actually work in a lot of cases but this is an anonymous internet forum so lets be honest and call it for what it is.

Her interest level in you isn't low, she woldn't have brought it up otherwise and you did reject her by not taking the bait.

Girls don't go through a dry spell that isn't by choice. It's not the same as guys. A girl can get a **** every night she is out if she wants. She probably wanted you, you didn't do anything therefore she made the move, you again didn't do anything. She made you jealous, hoping you would step up to the plate. You got pissed off and thought of her as a slut. That's what happened!

Well maybe, I can't be certain but that's what it sounds like. BTW - I'm maybe projecting because it sounds exactly like a situation i was in or maybe I'm just speaking from experience.
