Don't deal with them. Stay away from them. I had a coworker hate me and spread rumors about me.....I just said "OK" whenever they would get repeated to me...It wasn't worth losing my job over someone I thought so little of.

The way I fixed the problem: I got a new job where I don't have to deal with co-workers. I set my own day, my own pace, the hours are less, the pay is more, and the work is easier than my old job. I won in every aspect :)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I either fire them or have them fired. Seniority and a good track record in management go a long way.:D

My thoughts exactly. Keep it nice and professional with everyone else you work with, too. Work hard, and radiate the mentality that you enjoy your job and appreciate being there, especially in the current state of the economy. That way if his behavior escalates and you are forced to go to HR.......
