How do I meet chicks on the fly in "normal" situations?

Let me explain.


I'm not talking about meeting a chick in a particular setting like a college classroom (since I'm not attending one), or at work (since there are no lookers there to speak of), or even at an organised event (e.g. a party).


What I mean is a particular setting where you don't normally "pick up" girls. This could include a supermarket, the mall, doctor's surgery and even off the street (no not prostitutes, I mean just being able to strike up a conversation with a girl that I take a fancy to).


I think I'm pretty good at organized events partly coz it's the expected norm to go get some a**. But the thing is, I'm kinda stumped for ideas when it comes to situations of a more formal nature, or just a context where you wouldn't normally expect to pick up a lady.


I'm trying to master the art of picking up a girl straight from the street. In a sense, it's become a sort of mental challenge to see whether or not I can achieve it, but also whether or not I can become an expert at it. I feel like if I can really master this, I can pretty much get chix anywhere.

See I don't really get much spare time at the mo (I'm trying to learn a zillion different things at once on top of work), but when I do it seems the best opportunities to get with the type of ladies I like are at these types of formal situations, or shall we term them inappropriate situations. I don't mean that they are really inappropriate mind you, I just mean it's not really where a girl would expect me to pick her up.


But like I said, if I can master this particular art form, I feel like I could get a chick anywhere. And for me at this time, that would be a real boost.


So, any ideas? In particular I'd like to get really creative with this s**t. One of my buddies did this thing once. This chick we saw at the supermarket had a wierd tattoo of a barcode on her neck. It was funny, but my bud has this brainstorm. He scribbles a number down on this blank label off one of the shelves, and he writes his number in the form of one of those labelled barcodes you get on items in the supermarket (in the fashion of the tattoo this girl had on her neck). He stuck it to one of her items and she picks it up and sees him winking at her. I thought it was tacky but it worked; they're engaged to be married soon.


So, what kinds of cool things can you think of that I can apply in these particular situations? What about general advice on the approach in this type of context? How to handle it? Any ideas?

I haven't tried to pick up chick on the street yet. But what I do as I walk to my war games club on a 10 minute stretch from Euston station, is smile and looks into the eyes of every attractive woman that goes past.
You'd be surprised how many look back.
One chick nearly stopped. I should have noticed sooner and stopped as well and approached, but my legs kept walking.
I think this would be the best way to start
