Okay here are some good things the hippy generation did:

- Introduce Eastern religions

- the protests against the Vietnam War

- they were against racial segregation.

Bad Stuff:

- Introduce people to drugs

- Started the New Age movement.

- Started the sexual revolution - women's feminity started declining.


It's been said that the Arrival of the Beatles were planned by the government and social scientist to brainwash the young generation's minds.

Eastern religions and the New Age movement are essentially the same thing, so I don't know why you would claim one is good and the other bad.

Authentic Eastern religion is not New Age bro.

New Age is a combination of Hinduism, Buddhism and satanic concepts that does not hold your sins and mistakes accountable. i.e does not have a hell.

Hinduism and Buddhism does.

As far as I know, the "hell" for New Ageism, Hinduism, and Buddhism is merely reincarnation. And they're all pretty similar in that regard.

As a person from a Buddhist background (but I must admit not a very devoted or practicing one), I have to say don't put New Age mysticism crap based on the senses (the awe of looking cool or something) against Eastern Religions there is a lot more differences than that.

You can question that it is too pessimistic or religion itself is just a joke, but don't put Buddhism or other religions in the same category as New Age...
