How could I have improved?

About 2 weeks ago I set up a date with a HB8 from tinder but she flaked with an excuse of celebrating her friend's end of finals, 2 days before our date. No biggie, I let a week blow over and ask her to join me for a drink last Saturday, she says 'I'll see if I can join you' and convo dies down.

Saturday comes, she texts me:

HB8: Are you still drinking tonight?
Konada: Yep. Wear something cute
HB8: I'll see if I can join you cos i'm out with friends, I'll come if they end early
HB8: You're drinking regardless whether I come right?
Konada: Yep, see you.
HB8: Who's going?
Konada: Just me
HB8: LOL you're drinking alone?
Konada: Well a man occasionally needs his own solitude...
HB8: Yeah I get it I need me time as well
HB8: Seems like you're drowning your sorrows haha
Konada: Yep get ready for a bucket of tears tonight I'll see you then
HB8: I'll let you know again
Konada: Sure

<Roughly about 45 mins after I reached the place and was kicking it with a buddy of mine>

HB8: Hey, I'm still out with my friends i can't join you tonight. Enjoy drinking!!!
Konada: Np. Enjoy your night!
HB8: Thank you

Initial assessment of girl: Princess syndrome, used to males pandering over her, constantly trying to grab frame.

Plan of Action:
Wait for her to reach out, and then give her the whole 'I'm not so sure about meeting after the last 2 times, provided you are REALLY free on that day.' line.

Many would cite the 2 strikes rule, however I'm interested to know how I could have improved and game her. I want to sex her up, at the same time I'm okay if it doesn't happen. Cheers

I would have just said I was out with a few buddies and then if she came just said he ended up leaving or some BS...

I don't think she is really interested, not worth your time pursuing IMHO.

She's AW'ing you. She likes that you are chasing her. It makes her feel good.

Otherwise, she's not interested.

If she doesn't reach out to you, be done with her. Don't call her.
