Humor, sarcasm, neg-hits, are great. Don't worry about trying to be funny, say what YOU think is funny. You will find that if you LIKE a person, you'll laugh at everything they say. You will find that even the most stupidest things you will say will get a giggle/chuckle from those who like you whether it be from your fellow men or adoring women.
