Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Thanks to these boards I've become a pretty confident guy.

I want advice on how to help others without confidence gain confidence. Don't tell me it can't be done. I wouldn't be as confident and optimistic guy as I am without you people here on these message boards, writing articles and giving advice. However I won't point the people I want to give confidence to to these boards. (It just wouldn't make any sense. One of them for example, is a straight girl who's been in a happy relationship with her boyfriend for about half a year now.)

Any ideas?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

You have to explain to whom ever your helping how to be confident. You have to explain how confident people act, what confident people say, the type of body language confident people give off. You have to take the inner wuss out of them. You may have to demonstrate to them on a woman how to be confident and successful with them.

Why don't we make this general, and just provide ideas on how to make anybody more confident?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

DO NOT OFFER THIS SITE AS ADVICE!!!!!

Give advice from this site, relate it to your own experience WHEN others ASK for advice, or just take them out one night and give them a lesson on game.

You have to teach them - thats your answer. You do that by example.

Now the more important question - why are you getting involved in other people's problems? Is your life that perfect that you have time to spend on everyone else? - key flaw in your thinking there.

Making your life a better place in a ways will rub off - so by making your own life better, by example those around you will take notice and maybe even learn.

you can't force them to be confident.
they ultimately have to make the decisions themselves.

you can't just motivate them, you have to INSPIRE them.

"The mediocre teacher tells
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires"

-William Arthur Ward

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

You can't teach confidence. You can only become confident through your life experiences.

- Accomplishing goals
- Facing fears
- developing a greater understanding of how people and life work
- Experience a number of different and common social sitautions so that you know exactly how to handle them
- Getting a great job will give you a sense of superiority and accomplishment
- Build a good base of friends
- Do something active with friends at least twice a week

This creates natural confidence, and you can only get this by living life.

Find yourself a hot woman who is very adept sexually. It will truly boost your ego.

Trust me I've dated a few shy virgins who have NEVER spoken to a girl in their life and had little or no self-esteem.

Before I could say DAMN! They already had their chins up hitting other b*tches in the neigborhood! It made me laugh but I chose them purposely for that reason.

Theres were times when I havent felt the most confident. For example doing Calculus. I just could not pick up on it like some people. I could spend hours trying to do a few measley problems but my friends could get it done in like 15 to 20 minutes. Its great getting help from them, having them show me what's up with the problem. I started to pick up on **** but of course Im not gonna be perfect right then and there. It takes time to raise your comfortablity with these kind of mindboggles. (I really hated Calculus in High School, mind you) With more time, more exposure, and support by the people more confident in Math (my Calc teacher) I managed to keep a C through the year instead of just giving up on it completely. Im not the greatest at Math...and I hate it with a passion, but making it through that class gave me more confidence in those skills.
Since I feel that confidence goes hand and hand with comfortability, Id just work in baby steps exposing him and making him more comfortable in those situations where hed freak a little. More importantly Id give him my full support. I doubt anybody can just make a 360 on their habitual response in their body from becoming flustered and scared to feeling like the ****. It may take more time than one person alone would want to spend doing this for somebody. So why not involve a lot of confident acquaintances as well? The more people he surrounds himself with that are confident is gonna eventually rub off on him. There are many possibilites if yur buddy is a good sport and if he wants to change.
