How can I get out of food service?

I got at least a year before I can attend college. Then that will take a few years too at least 3. How can I get a job outside of food service that isn't the trades?

You're talking about relatively unskilled labor. There should be jobs in a lot of places.

My sons worked as lifeguards, tutors and a garden center.
