It's better to eat things like sugar, butter, etc than to eat the replacements. Things like splenda are very bad for you, your body has a lot of trouble breaking them down.

Also, a lot of things that don't have sugar or fat are highly processed and the result is carbs with a high GI index. Those are bad unless you want to get fat quickly.

In short, eat a balanced, natural diet.

no bodybuilder should eat butter. personally i use philadelphia balance for sandwiches which has much less fat and protein.
and industrial sugar is sure not better than MRP's

what's the harm in sugar? it's carbs like pasta is, just broken down to sucrose. all of it will eventually be broken down into glucose. sugar just faster.

If dextrose etc... have almost the same chemical structure as glucose how does it harm us if ingested at a reasonable amount.
