I'm 35+ and often have odd conversations when age comes up. From what I gather, I look significantly younger than my age. Most people ask what I do for work in getting to know you conversations with people I meet, but it's not uncommon for people, esp. women to ask: 'are you still in school?' Certainly, there are people 35+ who are still in school, but it's got to be a relatively small percentage.

I posted a few photos on age guessing sites a few months ago, and the average guesses were around 12 to 15 years younger than my actual age. These are well lit close ups so I think the photos were reasonably detailed enough to allow for accurate guesses.

I've seen former classmates from H.S. in particular, who quite frankly, either were unrecognizable or close to it. I'm trying to think of classmates who still have a youthful appearance, but I can't actually think of one, which is a bit sad. To be honest, many started to look "old" somewhere around 30!

Some signs of aging are of course inevitable, but eating good food, exercising semi-regularly and being reasonable about sun exposure should be great habits everyone exercises, but oddly few do.

In my own case, I do what I can without getting extreme or obsessive about it.

So, how are friends aging? Are they prioritizing lifelong health?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Thanks for letting me know that you look 12-15 years younger than your age. I've been wondering about this since you joined. In fact, we've all been on pins and needles.

We'll all sleep better tonight.
