"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

She's 40 and in tremendous shape and gorgeous face, almost my height, very sweet and feminine. But she has a 15 year old daughter, she has full custody. Daughter is nice and all, but is it too much of a distraction? I'm 40 and have had my share of chick but none as hot as this one. Go for it or pass?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

If she's a babe, why not?

Normally, I'd say , pump and dump. But if the kid is 15, it may not be so bad. Feel this one out before you even think about the possibility of an LTR.

Do as you please, it's part of being a DJ. Just know that if things get serious, she's probably going to expect you to "man up" and be a father figure for her daughter, which you may or not be ready for. If you want to bang her, do it already, and just be honest with your intentions. If you stick around too long, you may get yourself sucked into a blackhole, I've seen it happen many times.

As Vlad said, feel it out. But generally, chicks with kids carry some sort of baggage.

Good luck.

"full custody" as in the father isn't in the picture? Normally I'd say avoid this one but the kid is 15, she's practically grown up. She could be out of the house in a few years. She's 15, she's got her own life. Children get attached very easily, but a 15 year old will barely even think about your existence. This woman doesn't need to pay a baby sitter when you two go out. If you're going to date a single mom, this is the ideal scenario IMO.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Dating women with teens isn't as bad as dating women with full-time infants or toddlers. Teenagers have their own lives to lead and their own 5hit to do. As long as you don't try to parent the teenager, you'll have no trouble.

Plate her up, sure why not. BUT why 40 when you can get 30?

I've had my share of single mommies, been there done that for me. The last 1 had a kid around that age. Don't be surprised if she wants you to join her while her kid is involved in sports etc. Don't invest too much, do your thing too!

Try not to think about it too much, just ride the wave when it's your turn brother!

I've had a go at this twice but children were younger. I can say that once you see your new gf trying to get you to invest in her overall/child's life, money needs etc - then that's a no go.

Unless that's what you want.

Once you get to be our age, you've fed more kids who aren't yours than Alice Nelson.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

She is hotter than most 30 year olds! She's so sexy and and feminine but down to earth. She's really close with her daughter and I see that as a positive since the father was out of the picture when she was months old. Her daughter is involved in sports and she does go to her games to cheer her on when in season. So far so good, I mean great.

I've had some not so good experiences with women with kids, but this time everything is exceeding expectations.

I think a lot of dating single mothers is about how you convey yourself. And I think that goes for all women, too.

I've always been against the idea of using money, a good job, a nice house, and overall financial stability as a way to impress women. Good for you if you have those things, but if you make them the basis for getting women, eventually those women are going to want what you have. It's only reasonable if you're bragging about what a great provider you would be, that eventually she will start asking you to provide for her, or for her kids. Any woman will turn into a gold-digger if you keep waving your gold in her face.

I am up front with all plates that I am not relationship material. I'm not one of those guys. Sex and a night's worth of companionship are all that I am offering. And most single moms are fine with that. They all have jobs and take pride in being able to support their kid by themselves. Between work and parenting, they don't really have time for dating and courtship, so we just skip straight to the sex.

If children are NOT apart of your life plan I can't say I endorse dating women who have children no matter how attractive the woman is. I don't care how old the daughter is who knows what you're getting yourself sucked into.

You're already selling yourself short by putting this woman on a pedestal and trying to rationalize the decision by saying "she's an absolute babe" as if you'll never meet another attractive woman again in your life. The proof of my claim is the fact that you're here on this forum asking us.

She is not just a babe but a down to earth babe who has supported her daughter since birth. I knew she was a mother going in and she gushes about her daughter and she's falling for me as fast as I'm falling for her. She's an absolute babe who's enjoyable to be around. Who knows what the future holds but I have a woman now and my interest in others has gone away.

He's not marrying her or supporting the kid so what difference does it make?

If she is banging him he's getting all of the benefit with none of the cost.

She already has a nice home and she's not using me. We've had sex a couple times and it's out of this world. She is damn sexy for 40 or any age.

Decision is made.
