"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I know I've seen questions on here about asking a girl to homecoming, but I did that no problem. I am going with a girl who I know likes me, but dating her has been an issue because of her father, so I don't really plan on "hooking up" with her per se.

What I am really concerned about is that this is my first dance to ever go to. This may seem stupid, but I need some advice on how to dance. Also, any traditional things that are supposed to happen at homecoming that I may not be aware of.

This is my first thread, and I think I have used correct grammer, so please go easy on me.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Don't worry I don't care about grammar as long as I can read it.....some people take it way too serious haha

Anyways, there's been alotta threads about dancing so do a search. What I can tell you tho is that I literally don't have to do much at dances besides grind (and slow dance). Slow dancing is easy (move side to side, put ur hands on her waist) and grinding is equally easy. Just get behind a girl, get close to her ass (hehe love that ass....), and start groovin to the beat. Dancin easy and all about confidence. Don't be afraid to move around a lil. You should jus practice a bit but not too much cus u dont need to

Woot a first timer. Before everyone else says it, their is about a million how to dance threads.
On to your other question. If this is going to be your first time dance for you and a bunch of your friends their will probaly be alot of standing around not dancing.

If you are kind of just standing on the sidelines and you want to dance with your date just take her hand and lead her to the dance floor.

And whatever you do, do not try to have ANY fun at all. ;)

Edit: Yes you should go That_guy. Just walk up to chick you know and say " hey want to go to homecoming?" With a very slightly suspicious tone of voice.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Thanks for the advice. I don't think we can do any "grind" dancing, since our principal is stupid, and it probably qualifies as "suggestive."

Yeah they tryed to stop grinding at dances in my school once ... didn't work out well for them.

IF they do manage to stop it, don't just stand around, trust me. If you just stand around the whole time you'll be pissed at yourself.

Being dorky looking is MUCH better then being borred.

when ur dancing with the girl follow her beat and use ur knees alot! if u feel tired and sore the day after ur doing somethin right. im not much of a DJ but i do know the 1 2s bout dancing. its all about confidence. even if u cant dance but make it seem as if u know what ur doing, the girls will follow u. just have fun. thats all that matters really.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I am considering just asking my date to show me how to dance. It's not a girl I care much about "dating" per se, and I already know she likes me. It may be AFC, but atleast I'd have more confidence on the dance floor later.

Actually, that might not too bad of an idea.

(In a C+F tone) "Hey, I've heard you're quite the dancer. Maybe we can get together sometime and you could show me your moves ;)"

Ok ive never been to homecoming but im guessing its not going to be goody good slow dance all night.
Just lead your date onto the dance floor and just grab her from behind. Start off slow of course but soon enough you will grabbin like crazy. Chicks get real horny when dancing so it shouldnt be a problem even if its your first time out.
and another tip: dont stay glued to the same chick all night. If you see someone you know, go up to her and start dancin. Of couse dont do anything sexual (which would not be popular with your date), just dance a little to show that YOUR the man and your out to have fun. This would also spark some jealousy coming from date which would make her want you even more cus she wants you all to herself.

good luck with your date and remember just keep it cool and youll be groovin in no time
