"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

The Question: Should holiday romances be left on holiday?

Recently came back from a two week vacation with friends. Whilst there i met a girl, seemed perfect, beautiful, great to talk to and most importantly for a vacation- great sex.

Now, it got to day six, and she was leaving the following day, which put me in a dillemma.

During my time with her i hadnt slept in my own accomadation, had had a top time this girl, who lives some 300 miles away from me back in the UK.
She was pretty, funny etc etc it felt like the "connection" was made (as much can be made in a week)

She seemed to like me too, but there was this voice nagging away at me-

"You have to much going on in your life right now to start a long distance relationship, she lives too far away, in the real world you probably wouldnt look at each other twice. if you get her details it will blow up in your face."

Thing is i wanted to get the details, i loved the idea of this amazing girl, a low maintenance relationship. did she want my details?

I took the decision to not ask her, not to make that step, and she must have made the same one.

there was no awkward goodbye, it went something like this:

her: "Its weird, that weve spent the week together, youve been in my bed everynight this week, and were never going to seee each other again"

me: "i know, its been an amazing week, and your a fantastic girl, and ive had the best time."

her: "yea i know, i havent had this fun in ages."

me: "Ok well, i have to go for dinner with the guys, you wont be here when i get back,so have a good flight, and dont ever change cuz ur an amazing girl."

Then we had a long slow kiss, and hugged and kissed again and i said take care- and that was that.

Now back home, just keep thinking "What if". what if i had got the number, etc etcand everytime this particular song comes on i sit there in a day dream thinking of her.

At the same time im thinking, what a great memory- and nobody can ruin the memory i have of this amazing week, with an amazing girl-probably for the best.

Any opinions? Should i have taken the gamble, or was i right to leave this holiday romance on holiday?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Buck,
I had a three day romance with a woman who travels for work, it was great and that was all it was, no more no less.
I felt great, she felt great and we did talk once or twice since then but no effort to try anything else.
I think Elias said it best in Platoon "feeling good is good enough."
You did the right thing.

she sounds like a hor, and while it's sad that you had to let her go, hors are not relationship material. Think about it man: she was too easy. She wasn't looking for anything serious, just another thrill.

The bitterness of a poor quality woman is remembered far longer then the sweetness of how easy it was to get her. Keep your standards up. Aim HIGH.
Seriously man -- she was "beautiful" and "great to talk to" for a week -- SINCE WHEN DOES THAT EQUAL "perfect"? Check out The Natural Order of Things if you haven't already.

The DJ Way is not to ask for a relationship. The girl is supposed to do that. When she said,

"Its weird, that weve spent the week together, youve been in my bed everynight this week, and were never going to seee each other again"
She was saying it's "weird" what just happened, but she sure didn't take the opportunity to correct the weirdness! Keep on finding new hors like this one for one-night stands, or try looking harder and find a high-quality girl. But don't combine the two approaches.

Yeah i understand all that, but ui didnt take the opportunity either i didnt go for any of the details etc, to say that she was a ***** is a bit harsh, for example i know for a fact she turned down a lot of more attractive blokes, to spend each night she was there-with me. She just didnt seem like a *****, but then i guess she wouldnt so i guess maybe your right.

Dont get me wrong, im not naiive enough to think i can fall for somebody in a week, and i know on holiday your clouded by the romance of absloutley everything and back to the real world things dont work the same, and she may not be the girl i thought she was in the real world, hell im not the guy she thinks i am.

anyways was just looking for opinions/ experience etc on holiday romances.

Im gunna read the natural order of things right now anyway.

cheers buddy.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Obsidian - Dude was just wondering if he made a mistake or not - we are all Hors on vacation. Buck was just asking if he made the right move and he did.
The fact remains that vacation lays should NEVER be counted as anything more than what they were UNLESS you are on vacation with an LTR or the like. All the rules are changed when you leave town (at least for me anyway) and my trick is to try living your life like you are on a permanent vacation and not care if you see her again or not.
The chick I met was 3 days of breaking all the rules and seeing her for hours on end and fooling around at the end of each day - we talked about it not going any further than what it was and for me it was a huge confidence boost. I felt like a man who took and dominated and brought that with me to the world I live in every day. If I hadn't stepped up and made the move she would have been gone. So many AFC's dwell on what could happen and DJ's live in a world where it does happen.
He will have pleasant memories and move on, that is what is key here going forward and not dwelling on what happened but taking it for what it was and looking forward to the next woman.

yeah, I didn't say he wasn't a DJ. I just said she wasn't relationship material -- because based on her actions, she most likely wasn't. If a girl f*cks you the first night she meets you, then continues to do so all week, then never voices any interest in getting your contact info...hmm.

A ton of guys confuse hors with real women. They get into LTRs with substandard women and then eventually marry one, get divorced 5-15 years down the road (2/3 of divorces are initiated by women), lose 50% of their assets, and feel like a real loser for the rest of their lives.

Pimping a hor is all fine and good if that's what you want, but you can't forget what she really is.
