"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Today I was joking around with a cutie that I get on really well with and have known for a little while, we have been to concerts and things and she hangs out at my place often so we were txting each other back & forth anyway she is coming to my place tommorow for a party and I asked her in a smart ass way if she was going to get all prettied up?

and she said there was no one to get prettied up for so I said what about me?

and then she sent back "you don't count" so I sent back "oh geez nice to know at least you are honest

and she replied back "don't even joke about that, you know we are never going to there, you said yourself I am like your little sister"

yeah I did say i that too her but I was joking and refrerring to an ex friend that said that once said to a girl.

So is there anyway out of this?...she is a very cool chick and straight up too and I don't want to mess anything up friends or otherwise...

Help me out fellow DJ's, has she been waiting for me to make a move on her or have I killed it by saying what I did?

peace

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

she didnt know you were joking.
internet is hard to communicate sometimes, it depends on how you read things.

im not sure how you can get out of the ljbf zone. there are a thousand threads about it, maybe a good idea to look at some.

What she told you was a cop out. She told you she is not interested in you that way and she lays the blame on you so she won't feel guilty.

She is already your "friend" and nothing more will come out of this. You didn't go after her from the begining and now you are one of her girlfriends. I am willing to bet if you ask her if there is another guy in the picture that she will say yes.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

probably nothing you can do to fix it with her, but that doesn't mean its a total waste. Just be like "since you're my little sis its time for you to start hooking me up with your hot friends!" basically stay friends, but use her for all the great things that HBs are good for. With this there's always the possibility that she begins to get jealous of your interest in her friends and will see you in a new light...

Your jokes and sarcasm don't come across correctly on text messages. Don't bother.

I'll also add....
she is coming to my place tommorow for a party and I asked her in a smart ass way if she was going to get all prettied up?

and she said there was no one to get prettied up for so I said what about me?

I'm not sure what your goal is here by saying this.

"What about me?" - Is this your way of letting her know you are interested? If so, that's not very suave.

A better response - "I think you should (get prettied up) you never know when you'll meet your prince charming."

Leave her hopeful and guessing.

yeah I pretty much gathered that there was sadly no hope here but boy it was confusing when she told me and got all wierd and jealous because a friends girl was holding my hand and bieng a funny drunk (we are close friends for the record)

So yeah, she turned up to the party by herself and then came out with us and told me "I don't see you that way"...but first it was about that I was too older for her...all good I have already moved on, a little annoyed that I have spent a lot of time and taken her to a lot of shows and things and get placed firmly in the LJBF zone....gosh

Why did she act all jealous around my friend though?, I mean she gave me the cold shoulder and I asked if she was alright and she said "what do you care" and then I asked what is wrong and she said "Nothing" about 4 times and then when I was looking at her she turned to me and said "Don't."

Help please, I need help

I have a lot going for me, I'm sociable, warm, generous, polite, funny and straight up but some of my relationships with Women this year have been just odd...

Fellow DJ's please help out a good man here (no homo):cheer:

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Have you ever heard of this phrase on the forum?

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!!!!

She seems to be a bit defensive against your advances. She kind of seems like you broke her heart in the past and now she's just protecting herself from the same thing happening again.

Trust your gut feeling. Make a few more PHYSICAL moves on her and see what happens. ;)

hmmmm...good point there, I did notice that she didn't seem to mind it when I was putting my arm around and her and touching her hand when I talked to her and she touched her hair a lot but that whole hair thing i'm not sure I beleive in it anymore...whatever happens...happens there is no point in stressing about it.
