"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I know, this may sound pathetic to the real DJ's who can get any girl they want (contrary to me), but last saturday at a party of a friend of mine I met a very goodlooking girl. Just exactly the type I like. I found out that she didn't have a boyfriend and she was kinda interessted in me.

So later on when I was back home, I thought.... of ****, i didn't ask her number or MSN Messenger adress. Soo ****ing stupig aargh... but through certain contacts I got her msn adres after all ;) But there she wasn't really nice, very silent. And today I heard from a friend of hers, that she didnt really have any interest in me.

I know what you guys would say, that I'm pathetic to worry about it, but I just want to write it down. Because i AM really worry about it, because maybe I'm not that good looking after all or something. Don't know...

Life is a *****.. :p

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

do you often set yourself up in these types of situations?

it would'nt surpise me if this same type of routine happened before many times.

i noticed that the guys that do this to themselves often set up
sub-concious routines in their minds; to go after girls that
either are not their type in the first place or tend to idealize them in general-build them up in the fantasy, obsessess over them etc.
only more deeply to fall for the image and NOT the girl herself in actuality.

STOP IT!! how cares if she's not interested, you're just reinforcing bad habits and wallowing in soo called "rejection" thats not even existing in real life but only in your mind.

you're just setting yourself up for more rejection by playing the
"victim role" and "victim mantality".
like many, I have had may share of heartache and rejection-
but it's still no excuse to wallow in it.

You mean, that I just look for the girl's outside, instead of the inside of her? And then try to idealise her?

Get out there more, man. You can't go beating yourself because "this one goodlooking girl" wasn't nice to you over msn.

Just WHAT THE FVCK IS UP with all these self-defeating threads?

In Spanishthere is a saying: "The pup who doesn't cry, doesn't get breast-fed."

If you don't go and pursue the things you want (not ask for the number, not approach, etc ad infinitum), then you won't get anything in life.

Stop the whining.

Please.

Yeah, but you must know that it's not very good for your ego if you get rejected.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Boy, do I know that. You put the ego in the line everytime you approach. What one needs to do is learn not to take it personally.

I think that feeling bad and letting that kinda stuff get to you is ten times worse than the rejection itself.

Not to take it personally? What then? Blame her for not liking me?
Thats ridiculous, because I am the one she don't want, so i DO take it personally :)

You got her contact information without asking her?? that's not good.

You showed her that you didn't have the balls to approach her and ask her number and instead you got it through other means sort of like what a stalker would do.

Chalk this one as a loss and move on. Next time if someone catches your eye, ask for a number on the spot.

So you mean, there's much more chance she'll like me if I ask her personally then through other ways? Why is that, because of showing my balls? Don't know if that's what girls are looking for, because if they don't like you in the first place, they won't like you either with balls..

"You never have a second chance to make a first impression."

**** ups, rejections, etc happen all the time. Don't worry about it.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Yes and No. If you would have asked her personally you would know pretty well if she was into you or not. If she gave you good positive vibes and she was willing to give you her number, then you know that there is a very good chance for a date. If you got a bad vibe or she refused to give you her number then you would know right off the bat she wasn't interested in you and you wouldn't be wasting time on her.

Women like guys who are not afraid of showing them their sexual side. By showing risk (the possibly of getting rejected) they will respect you more as oppose of avoiding risk and do it by other means. They want to date a warrior not a clown.
