Hitting the Wall, Needs Security, or Beta Dude?

Anecdote time... Some of you may recall the woman I began playing music with who had a boyfriend, how she hit on me and I'd deflect, until eventually, she started crying saying that her boyfriend threatened her with a knife, cops called, and she was scared for her life. She had talked negatively about her boyfriend before (calling him a "girl" and insecure and weak) but never to this level. I then reached out to mutual friends as I was afraid she was in immediate danger. Friends intervene, she says that he pulled the knife on himself and that they just had a typical little lovers quarrel and no big deal. She had told me she was scared for her life and that she was packing up her stuff to move out while he was at work just two days before she tells mutual friends that she did not feel in any danger. This happened middle of July 2015. I cut off all ties and have had no contact since about 6 months ago.

I find out this weekend through mutual friends that she is now pregnant with his baby. I'm wondering if this was her doing to keep her meal ticket (she doesnt work or have a car) or his doing so that she wouldn't leave him. So, im curious if anyone has input on if she's hitting the wall, just wants a meal ticket to continue, or if he's just super beta and it was his idea to get pregnant.

She's getting a nice emotional rollercoaster ride. She's getting her emotional needs met even though her home life is awful. I guarantee he's at the top of her high score list.

Ever thought that the reason could be carelessness with both of them not bothering to user birth control?

Again, she's having her emotional needs met. It doesn't matter if he's beta or alpha, he's giving her an emotional rollercoaster ride, so she's going to stay with him.

Thanks Des. I see your points. It's so wierd because her boyfriend is so lame. Everyone avoids him when he walks up to groups because he just talks about video games and sports and no one else cares. He has a stutter and is not good looking. He is the only one laughing at his own lame jokes. He makes a lot of money and supports her in every way. I'm curious how this dude got so high on the list. It must be the threat of violence plus the financial support? Does financial support get you lots of points on the high score list?

OP, women run off emotions. She enjoys the ride with him. Des, the other guy is alpha in her eyes. One woman's alpha is another man's beta, and vice versa. Being well off financially is helpful.

Alas, she wants you in the emotional tampon friendzone category. Move on. Unless you want to join her beta crew.
