Don Juan
Get another job dude. Problem solved!
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
Would being chill and trying to befriend the new bf not be classed as building a bridge? I guess I could of burst into tears during the announcements and stormed out of the event.No.Danny said:Build a bridge and get over you little ****ing *****
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
I am starting to see the logic in this and the importance of focusing on the self. That the only true authority comes from within. The problem I now face is Im starting to de-value the significance of relationships in general, even the significance of my own actions towards a point of nihilism. This is not necessarily bad, but Im not sure how to identify with uncertainty and what to place my value in. My old beliefs were deeply grounded in caring for others, volunteer work etc, but with that shattered through several negative experiences over the past year its hard for me to deny how ridiculous that position is.sph21 said:"Everyone can think what ever they want to think about me but I am not less than what I think is true about me. I am a man and I will handle every problem as a man."
There is one more week until this guy starts full time. He will most likely be sharing the same office as my ex. So my mind has obviously been racing to make some kind of big gesture or attempt to escalate etc during this window. However the biggest 'gesture' I could really make is to intentionally ignore her for the next 3+ weeks and let her chase if she chooses while I look for someone better.sph21 said:Disdain things you cannot have: ignoring them is the best revenge.
