Hi guys,
this gonna be one of my more serious posts (as opposed to those half serious).
Recently to my joy and happiness I found out that Inner Game is finally IN as it should be, because I believe developing strong manly persona is far more important than playing girly games of 'hard to get' etc. It is important for happy being, world peace (no kidding...more strong men=less azzholes) and yes, picking up chics.
Basically, what we try to achieve with Inner Game is to build strong, balanced self with a spine, doing the right things at the right time. Confident, in (self)Control, patient Man who could have survived 50.000 years ago or yesterdays NY subway ride.
The best masculine traits evolved because they were needed for survival not because they read it in askcaveman.com and because hairy women found it attractive. Being calm and patient for example....yes, perfect hunter.
But we all know that, it can be found out here in several posts. Or you can give money to some lamers who become businessmen and sell this stuff to you (I give them some credit though for at least spreading the word). But there are several problems here:
1. You can't teach someone how to be confident. It is experience based process. You have to do frightening stuff and by "surviving" achieving confidence and self esteem. So just 'knowing' won't cut it. You have to kill a bear. The gurus sell you the knowledge, which is powerful, no doubt but won't cut it on itself.
2. In order to sell you something they (the gurus) need a prove they are not selling snake oil, therefore they need lots of psycho babble. It is hard to read or listen to and quite honestly it just takes your attention away from more important things like ACTION aka experiencing/doing something.
(Besides that no problem with gurus. I'm not saying they are lying. But quite honestly even with David D. it seems like 'Those who can't do, teach' - he should teach how to become successful businessman. I think he deserves the money however I don't see in him (I haven't met him in person though) that he mastered the inner game on a level he talks about.) end of rant.
3. Most important point. In order to evolve you need to know yourself very well. No secrets, no ego protecting lies. All dirt (fears, faults, traumas, problems) has to come to surface. Then and only then you can get rid of it.
But how to know yourself? Going to a shrink and talk and talk about yourself? Might as well wear a wig and go on date with some emotional tampon guy. eLJeyBeeF him or he might try to kiss you.
Well, I think the best method for making introspection was here all along. It is called meditation.
Basically you sit down on your azz at some quite place, relax, relax, relax, breathe, breathe and breath. Your goal is to steady your mind. If your mind was a lake you need to achieve that no thoughts will disturb the surface. So that you can see your true image of yourself and you can see through your mind to the bottom. My simplistic manual is probably not enough but you can get many good books on meditation (Ninjutsu books are cool) if you want to spend time and money. Or you can just sit and relax.
What I propose is to at first find your childhood traumas, your parent's faults - analyze it and then forgive them and let go.
When you are strong enough you can try the point of view where everything what happened in your adult life was your fault (even if it wasn't 100%). Just be a man, accept the full responsibility and I guarantee you if you can deal with that, you will be set free. And do that from now on.
(When a girl tells you to get the f@ck out after you politely ask for a light.... Yes it was your fault. Not that she is a rude b!tch but that you should have guessed her attitude from her body language. Get it? Just laugh it of.)
If you can't change it, laugh at it. And don't take yourself so seriously, it is just your ego f@cking your brain.
So many words to post a simple message about usefulness of Meditation.
Hope it helps.
