"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Quick background:
( 18 years old, im 23. She knows I am seeing other women)

i asked a girl who is in Highschool still out to go watch a movie on saturday night. I haven't achieved this goal yet. I work with her... But last week she iniated by asking on having lunch out with me. And so we went out to lunch. Earlier today, I texted her to come and join me for lunch this saturday. She called me back a couple minutes later. On the fourth time of trying to reach me, I finally picked up. She said she wants to go have lunch with me but only if we have the same lunch schedule....

Anyway, is this girl playing hard to get or what? This other guy at work who got her number didnt any calls back from her. Fortunately, she's been returning my calls and sometimes texting me.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

... maybe you should let high school girls date high school guys...

but if you insist, i think she's not playing hard to get... just being her normal high school girl self, with her own high school girl plans.

unless she lives alone, i'm sure she still has rules in her family.

doesn't sound like hard to get... more like the truth... like...
"I can only go to lunch if i'm allowed to."
at least try for dinner instead.

that's my opinion.

You see bro, i never dated when I was in highschool.. So, i really don't have a damn clue about how high school girls are when it comes to dating. She doesn't drive and she lives with her mom.

So, try dinner huh?... just be like.. "ok, lets go have dinner somewhere"

hm... ask her if her parents would allow her to go out for dinner.

---

then if she says no...
-she either doesn't want to
or
-she knows for sure
(which is a good way to hear "no" and to not take it personally)

---

if she says, "I'm sure my parents would be okay with it,"
-find out if she'd like to go, and then tell her when you'll pick her up.
or
-you can be confident and not ask her to go and be like, "great! then i'll pick you up at 7 and make sure you're home before your bedtime!"

you know... those kinda things.

It's been so long since hs, i can barely remember how it was like.

But for the most part i can imagine an 18 year old just living her life. Senior year is the biggest transition to college and the final years of their teenage years, so they do have quite a bit going on. Some girls that age are more outgoing, and some are very shy and not outgoing...every girl differs.

I wouldnt be surprised if she was intimidated by you..since older guys tend to be more confident/mature than a hs guy.
You can treat her like a mature adult, but will she behave like one? who knows

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
