High on Life?

Hey guys, all I can say is every little thing is awesome no matter what it is, yesterday I had the best day of my life and nothing big even happened.
I sorted out my housing with uni mates next year I did a bit of work and then I went out and got hammered drunk for a Christmas do at a nightclub in town. I didn't pull, I didn't even come close, but I realised I didn't care at all. I'm just in a great mood, I can't stop smiling and I can't keep myself still my body is literally buzzing with excitement from the fact that I have just realised that I'm only going to live once, why the f*** should I let anything get me down.

I've given myself 2 little sayings that I'm going to stick to, they've been used before and they will be used again but if anyone else fancies using them go ahead, at the moment their working like a beaut.

The simple things in life are what make it so good, I'm ready to go out and enjoy them.

Cheers PokerStar, I'm still going, this mood is slowly becoming me in general, all it takes is to think of something funny and I'm in this awesome state of mind. The last couple of weeks have probably been amongst my best for no special reason at all

That is the greatest state of mind you can get to. It is very hard to gain but when the lightbulb goes off, it is like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am a very young kid im 15 and i love this website because it has set me apart from every other teen i know. i do not focus on the dramas of life like they do because i know that life is too short for pointlessness and to that i thank this site.

I have these flashes of insight often. I'll know for sure that pure joy, unaffected by externalities, is the pure way of being. That is enlightenment. And then I lose it. Oh well. I wish all you had to do was tell yourself those things, even if you know them to be true, to feel them.
