normally I take poor texting as a strongly significant sign of low interest.

however there's a girl from one of my classes who showed very high interest. I ran into her outside the food trucks one day and we shared a quick lunch. after class she approached me and I asked her out, exchanged phone numbers.

only thing? she shows high interest in her texts/facebook messages, except that she takes a long time to reply and doesn't really have that much to say.

Im thinking this either means she isnt interested, or that she's simply very busy and does not spend a lot of time with superficial things like texting and facebook. if it's the second, then I value that a lot for LTR material. She's really gorgeous and has a great personality / smart etc. Im confused on how to play this one.

I think I'll wait until a week into the next term and shoot her a text: "so are you still keen on getting together for lunch some time?" That should give a pretty clear answer. anyone have some other ideas or think I should abandon mission?

No, man, C'mon. Don't ask her if she's "keen" on getting together for lunch. Sheesh. That's just weak. If it's lunch you want, tell her "Let's get lunch at so-so and so restaurant at so-so and so time". Period. It slims down her opportunity to shoot you down, it doesn't feel too high pressure and she doesn't have to start thinking of the logistics giving her time to wuss out.

Lol yea youre right man I would never actually send that actual text, I just woke up.

But yeah I like what you're saying. Ill ask her if she wants to go to the lunch trucks again on day1 or day2. no acceptance or counter offer, no interest. i got a kinda weird feeling about this girl + other plates to think about so im totally indifferent at this point. shes also same age and generally i prefer girls 1 to 2 years younger

stop texting and get her in your bedroom.
Listen to this man

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Stop asking her things already... You should assume that she is incapable of making a decision and just tell her straight

'I am eating at the lunch trucks tomorrow at x oclock, you should join me'

she either shows up, or not...

Dude, make a definite date. If she flakes out or gives an excuse with no counteroffer, drop her ass.

The only real IOI is if she shows up. Anything else is fluff.

Case closed. It's not that hard.
