"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

This girl I hang out with - last night she kissed my shoulder as we were leaving the restaurant we ate at. She locked arms with me when we went shopping afterwards and when we went back to my place, we watched a movie while laying on my bed.

I initiated the hand-holding and I caressed her arm and hand/fingers with my fingers. I also played with her hair for a little bit.

I noticed she would rub her lips with her fingers and play with her necklace from time to time.

After the movie ended, I looked over at her and we looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds, but she turned away. Is she afraid to kiss me, or is she afraid that I'll kiss her?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

If she wasn't interasted, she wouldn't be there (she would bail) and she wouldn't be flirty. so next time, just take her face in your hands and plant one on her:)

Apparantly you unwittingly executed and passed the "kiss test" (Supposedly if she let's you play with her hair, she won't reject a kiss).

She was probably thinking the same thing you were..."Does he want to kiss me?" "Does he want me to kiss him?" "Should I kiss him?" Next time, just do it.

Kissing in the beginning is the best way to go -- I realize that now. That way, you can get it out of the way without all of the wondering. And, maybe do some more during the boring parts of the movie.

I want to kiss her when she least expects it. It will show that I have confidence, and it will be exhilerating for her.

I'll kiss her the next time I see her. I'll let you all know what happens.

I figure, it's better to kiss her than to resent not kissing her and wondering what could have happened -- cause that just causes a lot of frustration.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Just becaue a girl let's you play with her hair doesn't mean she won't reject a kiss.
Which is why I put the "supposedly" in there. Never tried it myself, so can't personally say if it works.

Do a search and you'll find more posts on "kiss test." I think it's in DeAngelo's book too.

go with your gut. When it feels like a kissing moment, then kiss her. So you missed an opportunity, well you can pass that off as being unpredictable. You mustn'y make her think that you'll never kiss her though, or she'll find someone else who is more in touch with his drives. Just do what comes naturally to you next time you're with her.

"If she touches her lips, subconsciously she wants to touch your lips."

I noticed she did this a lot. She was caressing her lips with her fingers and even rested her fingers on them for a while...

Obviously, my kiss is overdue. ;)

I'm with spider. If she didn't want a kiss she woudn't be there.
I don't usually go for a kiss on the lips first. Best starter move is to slowly brush her hair back across her neck, exposing her ear. Then kiss her neck. It's kinda teasing and sensual. It's not so dramatic as the first kiss in terms of positioning/timing so it's more relaxed for both parties. Added bonus you'll get her horny. If she lets you do that she'll let you do pretty much anything eventually.

So warm her up like that before you go in for the first kiss.
